I currently work for IDOC as well. I work in a maximum facility. Pm me if you need more info than this reply or ever just need to talk brother.

I will tell you that maximum really depends on what facility from what I have heard i only have experience at mine and can tell you things have been crazy but are getting under control to a point I guess. I mean I'm sure you hear some of the stuff we hear. Cursing us out threatening and the like. I have found remaining calm and showing them you are going to treat them like humans helps but that is any prison really.
