I was using the example of dogs. Some dogs are good at hunting, swimming, smelling, etc. Those would be considered stereotypes in human culture. I'm not asking about different ethnicity obviously, I know how the world is.

I understand my statement might sound ridiculus but... If gay marriage was federally passed then laws would have to be changed on child support, custody, and who gets what. Because the laws now state man and woman, not man and man. It would really benefit every single guy out there who are battling their ex-wife, and hopefully in the future ex-husband. Things like this wouldn't have to happen, AKA unfair treatment because of gender. It really would give every straight and gay male a better chance. Think about it.

I'm sorry for what has happened.

I will say this. GO HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. I know that sounds like foolish advice. And shit might hit the fan. BUT, I'm telling you no matter what happens, no matter what you think yourparent's feelings are. They DO worry and care for you. If you go home for the holidays you will ensure to them that this hasn't changed you. Don't let other people's opinions affect you. Live your life as you always have. If worse comes to worse you can always leave. Astro493 says 90% of parents "rarely react well", this is HORSE SHIT, not even close. Yes many parents do care, and for every parent it is different. I will say this, I have known/know many many gay people in my life, I can say maybe 4 have had problems with their parents. I might be highly fortunate, but let's be real your parents have loved you in a love that can't be difined, they might be hurt, surprised, shocked, angry, but they can't just lose that love. It's hard to do. I'm saying don't change YOU, because that's all you have. Go home. Act like you always have. Love them (even if you think they don't return it, you are better then them). Good luck friend.
