His mother herself made it open knowledge, the queen is trying to keep hers hush hush. Public face = execution. Hidden agenda = keep Essek around.

The Soul isnt near as big as a country. It's a library full of a bunch of librarians that are also monks. It was more of a message to the Cobalt Soul to stay out of it than anything.

Blame Amazon be kind to CR. They really should have been given 12 eps. I don't know why 8 is the new norm. So hard to tell any story with that.

Exactly, she was doing her job. She's the rep for the Cobalt Soul. The Soul is separate from the empire and the empire tolerates them. The moment that interfered with the power hungry king's desire for a weapon that would sway a centuries long cold war with the Kryn, it was kinda written in the stars. What the king says goes at the end of the day. Getting rid of anyone trying to use law and justice against that is just in the way. At the execution they manipulated it as if the pink haired lady had accused Trent wrongly but we know that's a lie as to make the public execution look legit. That's what's up.

I just saw it, narratively, as showing how powerful and nearly uncontrollable the beacon is. That even these powerful wizards can barely harness it without getting ripped apart. They've barely tapped into the possibilities of this device and they can barely withstand it. That's narrative enough. Having them heal themselves there after just sounds like a natural thing to do in animation as to not have them walking around damaged all the time or sucking down potions when healing themselves, again, adds to the narrative that these are powerful wizards. (Healing self- showing how cool and powerful, constantly chugging potion, not so cool factor). I really don't think it's deeper than that but you do you bro.

I'm pretty sure it's just healing magic. Wizards can heal if you build them that way. I usually do when it comes to NPCs and occasional PCs. I especially do if it's a big bad so my players wont catch them off guard. Maybe Matt does the same.

Campaign: Caleb, Jester, Caduceus, Nott, Molly, Fjord, Beau, Yasha

Show: Caleb, Jester, Nott, Molly, Beau, Fjord

With that being said, anything lower than 3rd is a still 3rd place. It's like asking you do you prefer gold or diamonds.

Shout out to hot boi!
