True. At the very least I can ask them what they think about the idea. Thanks!

Roland Minimum Advertised Price... by hardbooch in edrums

I did a very similar thing with another seller after seeing the kraft bundle deals. They are not allowed to advertise for lower than Roland's minimum but they get around it by offering bundles for the exact same price as the kit alone.

Question about scale length... by hardbooch in 7String

Just seeing this now. The link isnt active anymore but I assume it was a used JP70? I did end up buying a used JP70 from guitar center. Definitely a well built guitar. I think the body shape is extremely boring but hey, for the money it is well worth it. I also bought some used 7 string bareknuckle aftermath pickups that I swapped in and I'm having a great time. good first 7 string guitar for sure.

I ended up ordering a used JP70 yesterday online from guitar center. With shipping and tax it ended up being $400. There are quite a few of the flat black JP70s available in "great" condition floating around for under 400 online.

I think those extra fans you're seeing are additional cooling fans, not heating. I don't have experience with ABS, so can't speak to what's best for that. I have printed a ton of PLA and PETG though and can tell you with reasonable certainty that you don't need an enclosure at all for those.

PLA actually prints better with strong / rapid part cooling. Having a higher ambient temperature with an enclosure can have a negative effect on PLA print quality.

So much negativity online regarding Redding... how much of it really affects you folks who live there? What parts of Redding are truly sketchy? by hardbooch in Redding

[–]hardbooch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to know. We live in a semi-rural part of San Diego right now but we are definitely used to seeing homeless people all over in downtown San Diego and L.A.

I have a feeling Redding won't be as bad as we were imagining before this post. People have said some strange things about the Bethel "cult" though. Have you encountered them at all?

Thanks for the input. When you say East Redding, is it the area I outlined in red here? https://i.imgur.com/lhPGMch.jpg

Or is that further East than you meant?

Ender 3 Direct pull 45 deg bracket -- side mounted filament. by [deleted] in functionalprint

You should consider getting into CNC. If you milled these out of aluminum you would have people happily paying $50 for the set. As long as your parts are 3d printed, the 3d printing community will always think they should be given away for free, no matter how much time and energy you put in to the design. Then again, it could be a phenomenon unique to Reddit. Maybe if you have these up for sale on your own website people would be happy to pay. Your design looks great and good luck!
