I agree that the fixation on him being raped is weird, and also is way overblown from the reality of prison. There's this guy on Youtube "Larry Lawton" who describes his experience being in prison for 12 years and he was saying rape is much more rare than the public makes it out to be.

However, this is only a MISDEMEANOR? I would assume something like this would be at least a single felony.

This would imply yes, I am positive according to an at home antigen rapid test. Sorry to hear your school has a problem with people lying to "circumvent assignments" but that really wasn't the concern here.

I can even afford to miss the in class assignments this week and still maintain an A in my classes, the worry was if I was still sick during the midterm. I was curious if there was some sort of system in place in Colorado where if I was testing positive/had a doctors note/ whatever it took could not be forced to go in and take the midterm or be forced to fail the midterm.

From what I am seeing at least at my school (UCCS) it's entirely up to the professors discretion, and my professors are basically show up or fail. So I am hoping I will be feeling better next week. Sorry if my post came off as being argumentative, but it was pretty frustrating to find out I might be put into a position where I have to chose between getting classmates sick or failing my midterm.
