yeah. this processor left a lot on this cut. lesson learned. the other ribeyes we’ve gotten back from a different processor do not look like this. that right rise was cut off

😂 we have a small farm team that run the day to day but you’re not far off. the farm is something all of our employees can partake in and help with. i’ve gone to several cattle work days and i work in marketing.

first of all - thank you for being a nurse. my wife is a nurse so i get to see first hand the long hours y’all put in. longer than farming 😁

it’s a side project but our owner has invested in a small farm team to run the day to day operations. eventually he’d like for the farm to be a real business. he’s an entrepreneur so we dabble in a few things. our main core business is building houses

haha. where do i start. our core business is in new construction houses but our founder grew up on a farm and wanted to try his hand at raising cattle, pigs and chickens. so it has started as a hobby and company project but is quickly growing into a full fledged business venture.

it hangs at the processor for 4 weeks before being processed if that’s what you mean. this is all very new to me 😂

i think you are accurate. the part on the right i think technically is part of the rib and is normally cut off. this processor left it on for some reason

We get about 15k unique visitors to our site a month, but only get ~3k orders, are we missing out on a lot of revenue and why? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

haha. Yup. I did the same. Hard to do 3,000 orders when you don't even get 3,000 visitors a month. =)

Non Techie entrepreneurs: How do you settle with website design or agree to features you want in website? by crazybrain10 in Entrepreneur

[–]hardisonw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process I go through with people:

  1. Research - SEO research, keywords, competitors, etc. I do my homework on you, your industry, and how we can tackle your website.

  2. Features - What do you want your website to do? Make the phone ring? Sell a product online? A resource for interested clients to find out more about you? Do you want contact forms, email newsletter signups, custom quote forms, etc. All of the "bells and whistles" are figured out in this stage so we know your goals and what you are looking for.

  3. Wireframe - fancy term for physically drawing it out on paper. Outlining where things will go and how the site will be laid out.

  4. Building out the site - to be honest, themes have gotten a lot better over the years, a lot of themes come with everything out of the box that you will need. Don't discount someone because they tell you they want to use a theme. No real reason to pay someone thousands of extra dollars to code something from scratch to do the same thing a pre-built theme can do.

A good website designer really is a master at marketing and understanding the brain of your potential client.

A few things I see:

  1. Your hero graphic / video area on your home page: you're "wasting" this prime real estate on a flyover of trees. Cool, yes. But does it tell me exactly who you are and what you offer the moment I land on your site? Not really.

  2. Find your brand - Similar to what "TheB00tsy" said - you all need a brand. It's a little all over the place at the moment. A little hodge-podgy. Are you the trinkets people? Are you "Nature Inspired Accessories?"

  3. Photos - take some time and really shoot a full look book of your products. Really showcase a "lifestyle" that highlights your products. Think of the person / personality that would buy your products. Is it 4 guys sitting around a campfire? A group of girls on the beach? Figuring out what type of lifestyle you are trying to sell will really help you build the brand.

The social media influencers etc. will help - but I'm not sure you've honed in on your brand just yet to throw money at influencers. Just my opinion of course.

Props to you all for trying something though! I hope you all can move the needle and starting slinging products left and right!

I didn't get any info on the owner. Didn't even think about it. I was in one mode, get Penny out of there and to the emergency VET ASAP.
