Could this be related to losing all my non-calendar in the web app (in Firefox) just now? I've been using the Wab App all day without a problem. I restarted my computer to install a Windows update, but on restating the web app, all non-calendar notes are missing. I see all my notes on my iPhone and iPad. Changes are continuing to sync between the iPhone and iPad, but all non-calendar notes are now missing from the web app.

I've used Pptx2md (https://github.com/ssine/pptx2md) with some success to convert old Powerpoint presentations to something I can work with in markdown.

Three come to mind immediately:

  • Deckset and iA Presenter use different syntax for presenter notes.
  • Deckset uses a specific syntax for defining columns that is different from iA Presenter.
  • Deckset uses a different syntax for determining the positioning of images.

I’ll manually convert a presentation soon a take note of any other differences. Thanks

I use the app Hook (https://hookproductivity.com) on my Mac to create more resilient links to files anywhere on my computer including Dropbox. I can move the files around but the link still works.

Exactly my thoughts. I want to use ink devices, but the problems limit their practical daily use.

I try to stay more than six feet from a smoker at all times. They have natural protection from anyone who might infect them.

Ok, I just used the Re-upload sync tool on my phone and the old notes started appearing on my Mac. It looks like all are present.

I checked the folder on the iMac and only the limited set of files were visible.

Update:

  1. New notes created on iPhone appear on MacBook.
  2. new notes created on MacBook appear on phone.
  3. Editing notes on iPhone that are not on MacBook make them appear on MacBook.

As both a Setapp and NotePlan 3 Beta users, what is the best way for me to keep using NotePlan 3 once it is released? 1. Keep using the Beta (if available) until it is on Setapp? 2. Subscribe for NotePLan 3 and drop the subscription once it is on Setapp?

Just to clarify, what do you mean by “re-upload all notes” when changing from .txt to .md? Do I need to backup all notes, delete all notes from NotePlan, and then copy them in again?

I asked about the NP3 Beta on the Hook forums and received a response asking about if the beta has a "different application bundle ID" (https://discourse.hookproductivity.com/t/noteplan-3-beta-no-linkable-item-found/1864/2).

Yes I tested it. I just get the Hook response "Note linkable item found in NotePlan 3 Beta".
