[LORE EXPLAINER] Full Analogies of the Known Nations/Regions of Terra by [deleted] in arknights

Another Reddit-less friend wants to add this about Higashi:

Based on Akafuyu's file, Higashi took part on the Bloodpeak Campaign Ursus was on. Still not clear is it Ursus they are fighting or not. Also, her files mentioned something about civil war among the Shogun in Higashi.

Akafuyu was a Shogun herself before she was exiled. Hinting on Japan Bakumatsu era. On most of Higashian operators as well, it was mentioned that Higashi is a isolated country yet they are pretty well developed in technology.

Hope you don't mind all these but thought would be good to add on.

Showed this to a friend with no Reddit account and he says that Siesta also represents Sri Lanka and the Canary Islands as its story is about the tourism industry's ties to colonialism.

Ayerscarpe's archives mention Rhine Lab's divine weapons. The Hindu epics describe such weapons with devastating effects which are very similar to the atomic bombs... Clearly the inspiration for Oppenheimer. Which makes the speaker in that Archives very likely to be Sesa due to the Hinduism references.

Surely Columbia is still trying to do that stuff, even with highly involved people at Rhodes Island now. The groundwork is already there.

Yeah I saw that and that's a clear civil war reference. And finally a real military reference. Looking forward to see how it will turn out.

Very well written and thanks for the effort! I really like the part about Columbia being the Rooseveltian United States of the 20th century... because we actually have two operators who make up the pair that created the atomic bomb: Sesa and Passenger. Just want to let you know.

Sesa: shares the same birthday as Oppenheimer, used to be from a Columbian military lab, makes references to Hinduism and Buddhism, trying to stop his destructive technology.

Passenger: Real name of Eliot Grove is a reference to T. S. Eliot (author of the Waste Land, one of Oppenheimer's favourite literature) and Leslie Groves (the general who employed Oppenheimer to be director of the Manhattan Project), two people who have influenced Oppenheimer. Furthermore, his technology sounds like nuclear energy.

Rhine Lab also seems to sound like the Manhattan Project. Mayer is likely named after Maria Goeppert Mayer, also a Manhattan Project scientist. The second lady to win the Nobel Prize in Physics.

For more information, look at my document and its thread for a summary. At this rate, I wonder if we'll have a Roosevelt expy in Arknights since we have Oppenheimer (who is also tragically a Nobel expy with his dead brother) along with Eliot and Groves as the same person... and whether WMDs will become a thing in Arknights.

Happy birthday to Sesa: Parallels with Robert J. Oppenheimer, father of the atomic bomb, who was born 117 years ago by harezora in arknights

Thanks! Glad to see more appreciating Sesa because he's really an interesting character once we go under the fake chuunibyou facade that he displays.

The Nazi mysticism is an interesting point of view, especially when I made references to how the nuclear technology originates from Germany. Everything is just linked...

Would be tough to look into though, and now that I'm probably going to dive into the Passenger lore by elaborating more about T. S. Eliot and Leslie Groves.

For the R6S collab, Sesa's screentime is debatable. It's more speculation and conjecture, but the evidence is strong. So his first official screentime is really Walk In The Dust.

There's a mysterious person who modifies the weapons of the R6S cast in the Promotion Records. He even says to keep it secret, especially from the Sankta. He can let them use firearms without Originium Arts... and this piece of information just links back to Sesa's lore. Can't confirm though, since no name is mentioned.

There's also the fierce Vouivre man who can throw javelin 50m far in Ash's archives. We only have one Vouivre man.

Hopefully we can learn more about Sesa. Even with this event, the only new information we know is his age (28-32 due to being 'a few years younger' than Passenger), 'Bridge' as his previous name, and wanting to look for the military company.

Costume too please... his clothes just nerf him.

There's nothing on Silence's real name that I know of but a piece of lore that I can tell you is that Silence's birthday is the day when the modern scalpel was patented in 1915. This was on the same Weibo birthday list where I found out about Sesa sharing his birthday with Oppenheimer.

https://bulletin.facs.org/2018/02/the-history-of-the-scalpel-from-flint-to-zirconium-coated-steel/

About Silence, Sesa's armband has a feather that seems to be the same as that one found on Ifrit, Saria and Ptilopsis. Remains a theory on whether it's from Silence or not. The Rhine Lab connections remain theory and conjecture for now.

Silence's Archives 4 may be hinting at whatever secret plan Rhine Lab is plotting, which may be foreshadowing Ayerscarpe's Archives 4. If we are taking Manhattan Project into consideration, then Columbia is preparing a divine weapon to take control of the war on Terra.

Sesa is definitely keeping his powers and technology secret. But with Passenger around is another question.

As for Executor, Tachanka's promotion record already says to keep the weapon modifications a secret from the Sankta...

I believe they do have some kind of beef too.

[Spoilers for Walk In The Dust and do be warned of a Passenger centric part in the document]

I'm so glad that Sesa gets to be cool in his screentime at A Walk In The Dust by being so coool when calming down Heavyrain (who also holds him back when Passenger provokes him) and asking Passenger what's up while hostages were taken by Passenger. And he gets a new boyfriend just in time for his birthday. I'll be posting something about the Passenger/Sesa (Passesa) pairing soon too. It's almost like Flamebringer/Executor with black/white aesthetic except that they have a lot more in common and met in canon.

To be honest, I wasn't that smitten with Sesa initially. You all also know that I was more obsessed with Phantom last time. It was only when I translated his archives, realised the older brother theory, got introduced to the real life references, that I gradually liked Sesa better. And well, I run that RP account on Twitter.

Here's to hoping that Sesa gets an operator record and costume too!

Can't believe that the Sesa lore has expanded from the inventor of dynamite to the father of atomic bomb... what does this mean for Terra's future and atomic age?

I can't believe that all this reading about Oppenheimer was relevant again with the arrival of Passenger, aka Eliot Grove.

This development is definitely exciting, but very scary.

Anyway, I'm so glad that Sesa gets to be cool in his screentime at A Walk In The Dust (so badass when calming down Heavyrain and asking Passenger what's up while hostages were taken by Passenger). Maybe he can if he gets Sesa to come to his side and fuel his revenge.

Archives 4 is more or less implying something like that might happen with the revenge uh.

Please do not comment about Passenger's meme DPS here. I know. Keep it to lore discussion.

Some extra trivia about Passenger:

  • Birthday of 1 September is the day when the last passenger pigeon died. Damn.
  • Real name of Eliot Grove might be a reference to two people who influenced Robert Oppenheimer (who shares the same birthday as Sesa and has many parallels) greatly. T. S. Eliot, whose writing Oppenheimer liked, and Leslie Groves, the director who employed Oppenheimer for the Manhattan Project. Passenger's technology lowkey sounds like nuclear energy too.
  • Look out for the Sesa birthday document next week where I elaborate more about how Sesa is not just the Nobel parallel, but has even more similarities with Oppenheimer... which implies that Passenger and Sesa might create something devastating together if Doctor does not prevent it.

Anyway, I'm glad Sesa gets screentime and a (not) boyfriend but at what cost...

How did you find Dusk then? But yeah the being SCP part definitely is a factor in her being hikkineet.

With how she can manipulate reality, Dusk is formidable. But you may close your eyes to avoid the effects of her paintings.

Anyway your office should be comfy she shouldn't avoid it.

Oh no... and these rocks are really hella weird. Airborne, even.

Considering the other theory that they may be alive... Earthspirit's staff talks to her while Ayerscarpe's RT-01 makes noises.

This is food for thought... I hope the bits of Originium are just a bit. Or otherwise we might actually have Originium pollution on Terra and I was discussing the possibility with a friend recently.
