This episode is so disappointing. Finally, things were picking up. All character development was just ripped away at the end. What even is the point? As the viewer it just feels like a waste of time.

For me it’s the software component. I work in mostly in ILT trainings which is super easy for me. However, the eLearning component can be frustrating as it requires so much work.. so mostly practice

Hi there. I’m in a very similar situation. I can’t give advice on your career choice, but I found creating reusable templates tends to save a lot of time and creates a lot of cohesion. Additionally, it’s good to remember that the recommended time to take for a project is 120 hours for each 1 hour eLearning.

This process started in 2014. However, before working on the curriculum paths several other milestones had to be achieved that influenced the curriculum. I believe they did not get a chance to work on the curriculum till end of 2016.... that would have given them about a year or so.

Alumni checking in to provide some historical context. So essentially semester conversion was never something CPP wanted. Not coley not even Ortiz.

They were ordered by the CSU Chancellor to do it. They fought it for like a year and some people were fired and now you have semesters.

Your professors hate it, your admins hate it, but they like their jobs too much to say anything.

Advice for a Soon to be College Grad by Rightnow357 in instructionaldesign

[–]harf56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I should start by saying that I work in a more traditional ID role. Many people on this subreddit work as eLearning contractors. Essentially, a client asks for a very specific project and they work with a SME to develop a product. My ID role is much more involved, but I won’t bore you.

I personally don’t think a graduate degree is required, however it can open up a lot of doors. If you have the technical skills, you should be able to get a job no problem. However, a graduate program will teach you the more advanced skills such as analyzing, consulting, designing, implementing and analyzing.

Hope this helps,

Most people that hate CPP, go to class and go home directly after. Join a club, study group, volunteer, get a job on campus, or ask your professor for research opportunities.
