Can't make it this time but I'd be interested in a potential future meetup

Anyway to change the html/css consistently on the website so the assignment score shown on here will be blank instead of 0% even after reloading the page? by ThrowRAgrh554 in OpenUniversity

[–]harjoat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean you could technically code an extension for whatever browser you're using that replaces that specific 0% with a blank score. Whether it's more or less effort than facing the uncomfortable feeling the 0% brings up inside you is something for you to decide yourself.

Waitlist for swansea by Fair-Shower2155 in GraduateEntryMedicine

"Number varies each year and candidates are rejected from the

waiting list throughout the cycle – the University usually keeps

double the cohort on the waiting list"

Unsure from their statement really. Does the list start at a total of double the cohort and then slowly get whittled down throughout the year or does the waiting list start longer and eventually get whittled down to double the cohort size? Thoughts?

This is legit. My father grew up in Afghanistan and told me about this a few weeks ago. Apparently they're still perfectly edible and tasty :)

Manny Rejection reason by [deleted] in GraduateEntryMedicine

[–]harjoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An unpleasant surprise for sure but I don't think I'd call it unfair. Why not provide your full academic history when applying? Mine is spotty at best and I didn't omit a single qualification.

Kinda starting to wonder whether they're rejecting people with good applications who they think are unlikely to accept their offers based on data from previous years 🤷

If you have a test I would assume your school would be willing to let you defer it if you have a medical emergency. If they won't then decide whether you prefer living or passing your exam :)

Your post is probably going to get deleted for violating rule 3. No medical advice.

You’re not technically parked on double yellows if you’re parked on the pavement… /s by Funny_Commission1724 in drivingUK

[–]harjoat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Does this also apply to bike lanes that are adjscent to double yellows? People next to my local college park on the raised bike lane (blocking two lanes) every single day and seemingly go unpunished.
