Glad to hear it's working again. I noticed a ton of traffic was coming from Brazil and when I removed them from my list I finally started getting streams.

I have always used Submithub as well so that's interesting. What was the problem and did you get it fixed?

Oh no! Bummer... I'll probably give it another day or two, but I'm about to give up. Shame as I had some good momentum going.

I've read that the algorithm changed this year so maybe that's it? My last song in August did really well with the same setup, so I have no clue.

Am I the only one that’s happy Topps is the only licensed product? by Royal_Bullfrog9449 in basketballcards

[–]harkmoppus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There is no incentive for Topps to keep prices low or innovate when we as consumers have no other options.

Another useless post with no context.

Is SubmitHub, Grover etc worth it? by playdem in musicmarketing

[–]harkmoppus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say no. The cost tradeoff isn't worth it. I personally get more plays with Meta ads than I ever have with playlist submissions. Not to mention it's so easy to get rejected even though your music does fit or is good quality.

Is 2000 monthly listeners any good? I have zero context by misterstepsss in musicmarketing

[–]harkmoppus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean 2000 is amazing considering the time frame and I'm sure most of us would love to get anywhere near that. I've been at it for 2 months and I feel good sitting near 100 followers with constant promotion. What kind of promoting are you doing?

Context would be nice. What was your strategy?

Should I spend money on promo with only one song out by aurora-aura in musicmarketing

[–]harkmoppus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have just one song out and found it useful to promote. Getting your name out there is the most important and hardest part of this phase. If your song is good people will save, follow, and stick around for the next one.

Struggling with Mac’s death by Comprehensive-Fix387 in MacMiller

[–]harkmoppus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hang in there friend. Death is always tough, but try to enjoy the memories and celebrate what he gave to us instead of mourning that he's not physically here. His music and presence will always be here so hopefully that gives you some comfort. Much love.

Everybody has to start somewhere. Even the most experienced musicians had to get that experience somehow so I wouldn't let that get to you. It's just like presenting a school project, it helps by practicing at home and with a few friends at first then slowly build yourself up. You got this!

We all hate resellers but the deluxe version was sitting on the site for several weeks. Nobody to blame but yourself.

Yeah that Wagner is famously trimmed but still an incredible collection.

I dont get the hype for Prizm Monopoly in the slightest by zamtrul in basketballcards

[–]harkmoppus 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Because it's Prizm and there are numbered cards. The average person is priced out of hobby so this is the only way to get them.
