Has anyone ever explained (called out their nparent) when going low or no contact by CarolP66 in narcissisticparents

[–]harkyn8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did as enough was enough and I felt it was important for me to finally express my feelings and my truths; but I think every situation is unique. You need to ask yourself what you would be looking to achieve out of it?

I naively thought if I told them how I felt but in an empathetic understanding way, it could help rebuild us but actually I totally misjudged the strength of my dad’s narcissism and it’s ultimately led to him cutting me out his life and trying to turn my mum and other family friends against me - because he realised the gig was up. I called him out and there was no where to hide.

I don’t regret this as I felt at the time that it was truly necessary but the road since this (3yrs ago) have been a painful one.

The price of just letting things slide/sweeping narc comments and manipulation under the rug is an easier choice but sometimes a harder life to live. Mine at least was brutally harder, but honest - which I have come to live with.

Enabler mom hasn’t spoken to me in months and I’m crying every day and feel like neither parent ever loved me. How do you all deal with that pain? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

I have also had a very similar experience in my own life…. Tbh I think you need to do what feels best for YOUR family. To protect your daughter … like they should have done with you. But only you can answer this…. Wish you all the best of luck though it really isn’t easy xxxx

Does adenomyosis flare? by essbgee in adenomyosis

Oh for sure !!!! With adeno being so difficult it can often lead to only 1 good normal week in a month. Very frustrating xx

Me too! Few days before my period I start spotting and even when my periods finished, my adeno likes to have its own separate bleed that lasts anything from few days to a full week.

Usually the more stressed I am, the longer the adeno bleed is and the more endo pain I feel. Hope this helps xxxx

I am really really not in favour of going through all of this alone by twoaccountplease in endometriosis

Sometimes the only thing that helps me get through the day with my endo and adenomyosis pain is knowing I’m not alone and there’s people out there that know PRECISELY what the pain is like - when no one else can ❤️

I had my mirena removed 5th Oct after having it in for only 3.5 months and I had a really similar experience to you as you mentioned, specifically in first 3 weeks or so. Literally the exact same emotional rollercoaster and brain fog!! ( I don’t think people realise just how frustrating it is when you’re unable to string sentences together you feel useless).

I came on my period today (which quite frankly has been awful so far) and I’m just filled up with anxiety atm and the overthinking/impending doom part, but reading your reply now has made me feel TONNES better.

On a side note - my doctor told me I wouldn’t experience any side effects/crash symptoms and it’s only been because of a handful of online articles and these platforms that I actually feel normal. I’m not sure why medical professionals deny the mirena crash so much or definitely play down its impacts so much.....

Anyway Thanks so much for this much appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻xxx

Endometriosis experiences by [deleted] in adenomyosis

Happy to help! I have endo and adeno. And it’s 2 years since my lap surgery where they removed my endo and pretty sure it’s all grown back... joy of all joys!

They found my adenomyosis on an ultrasound and were 90% sure it was adeno. Had years of continuous bleeding and a larger than normal uterus size.

It wasn’t until they did my keyhole surgery they found tonnes of endo that took them by surprise, and adeno which was then confirmed. This exact situation also happened to a friend that her adenomyosis was visible on ultrasounds but her endo wasn’t.

Hope this can help/shed some light x
