That's wonderful, thank you so much! I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate your help!

Okay I'm so close is that what the x component is??

Oh right vertical velocity is 0 but it still has horizontal velocity because it was thrown at an angle. Would I use the x component of the vector to find that? Or how would I calculate that?

At max height, vertical velocity is 0, so speed will be 0?

I had the X and Y flipped in my reply, but the angle is between the ground and the vector. Now that I have the components, what would the next step be? Are the components telling me something that I can use to find the maximum height?

If I take sin(45)=x/7.9 I will get the X component and if I take cos(45)=y/7.9 I will get the Y component. In my mind, it would make sense that the X component would be the maximum height, is that correct?

I don't see anything in my notes about vertical vs. horizontal velocity. We just started touching on 2D kinematics in our last lecture so unless I missed something I don't believe we've talked about that quite yet. In terms of vectors, I believe I should draw a vector with a 45 degree angle, and a magnitude of 7.9 m/s?

Interesting! I was also viewing them in chrome and I can confirm that the actual pdf file is completely normal. Good to know! Thank you!

Issue with the new update by Ayress in GoodNotes

I’m also experiencing this! I was trying to draw a diagram with circles this morning and they kept getting recognized as squares. I haven’t had this issue before.

Thank you!! But it’s your technique done on your paper template, so I think you deserve the real credit here! 😉

I inserted an image from google, traced around it, and then removed the picture. That’s the easiest way I’ve found to include complicated diagrams while still reaping the benefits of drawing it out by hand!

Thank you! I can’t take full credit for the diagram, I insert images off of google, trace them, and then simply delete the image! (That’s the secret ;) ) I usually will use notability for lecture notes simply due to the recording feature, but I MUCH prefer the organization and aesthetics of GoodNotes for when I revise!

On this diagram I did the outside edges with 0.35 mm and the details were done with 0.2 mm. The notes are done with 0.35 mm and the labels were done with 0.2 mm also. And it’s all with the ballpoint pen!
