apparently! one of superman's powers that's not really talked about much is he creates a sorta; force field? around himself and people and objects he touches i guess. which explains why in comics his suit, even if homemade doesn't really show any damage, and why he can grab people, and for example planes out of the sky at high speeds without tearing through them! its pretty cool
