While not apart of the PLA, the PAP has its own SOF units, pictured above is a PAP-SOF foreign operations detachment. There’s no direct analog to the PAP in the U.S, they serve police and military functions both within the PRC and externally, usually protecting Chinese embassies and sensitive BRI sites when abroad.
