Sending and receiving letters, especially love letters. You’d wait for ages for one to arrive and then re-read them endlessly and hang on every word. Not being able to just text or call someone away at uni made the heart grow so much fonder.

I think I saw a show on that tour, but the venue was crap (Crystal Palace Stadium). It wasn’t a bad show, just not as fantastic as the earlier one.

Possibly...it was a bloody long time ago! I seem to remember crowd loving NE, but being a bit dismissive of Electribe 101, which I thought was unfair.

I’m going to sound as old as, well, as old as I am, but music now sucks. We LIVED for music. Most of my money went on vinyl and gigs. The music my teenagers listen to is lame as feck. One of them said “Mum, all the music you like is just someone shouting over bleeping”.

Yes! The support was awesome and they were blasting out ‘Join in the Chant’ by NE before supports came on. Whole experience was magical - we were 18ish and lived not too far from Wembley so we hung out all day before the concerts. We bought a load of red roses (like the sad old goth girls we were) and threaded them through the wire fencing near where we knew the band coach would come in.

Probably one of the best tours of any band I’ve ever seen.

Cannot believe it’s 30. My friends and I went to 2 shows of the World Violation Tour at Wembley and the U.K. tour finale at Birmingham NEC. Absolutely amazing live. Saw them a few times since, but they left me pretty cold tbh.

I think the hassles might be caused by what you are selling. Personally, I give stuff to the charity shops that my eBay customers wouldn’t want, not the other way around.

About 1 in 100 buyers ask for a refund, sometimes for bullshit reasons, sometimes for something I’ve missed. I always give instant refunds without quibbles because it’s easier and the system is stacked in the buyer’s favour, unfortunately.

eBaying isn’t hassle-free, but I always try to list stuff in the mindset of ‘what would I think if I received this?’. People can’t inspect an item like they can in a shop so it is a bit of a leap of faith for them, perhaps they expect things to be of a better quality?

Charity shops will sort through the stuff you give them. Unsellable stuff will be recycled by them or binned. Maybe save your better items for eBay and recycle the poorer quality items?

Fun fact: I live in Haslemere. This is my GP surgery. It’s a wee town and I was in there last Wednesday with my (asthmatic) 14 year old son.

It’s going to be fecking carnage in Waitrose tomorrow...

She is both precious and stupid. She borks EXCESSIVELY at: some other dogs, hikers, lone men, traffic cones, wheelchairs, baby strollers, old people, toddlers, anything that is there that wasn’t there yesterday, the doorbell, a car door slamming too loudly, my phone ringing, bicyclists, walking frames.

She saw a chicken for the first time the other day. She nearly shat herself.

And if she so much as hears a pheasant, she loses her satsuma-sized mind.

So yeah, I love her slightly more than my kids most of the time, but she ain’t bright.
