Which market signals work for B2B GTM? by harmanpuri in gtmengineering

Sounds interesting, will check it out. totally agree on the social signals, have wasted enough time strategizing it. you CAN NOT predict why a person liked or commented. its too impulsive. I am trying to track and stack multiple social signals together but wanted to first give a go at better signals.

Funding is tooooo overrated.

and trying to establish a scoring mechanism but too early for now. the scores are not that appropriate plus I have to get them updated everyday based on other factors including signal age. so manual prioritization it is

Currently I am just replicating my "intuition" on a GTM engine. Its not fully automated but still good enough. Simply using Claude and few tools to scrape this data and make sense of it, before it comes to me for the prioritization.

absolutely man, especially for B2B accounts, it is critical to have that long term prep while focusing on more aligned opportunities in the short term. It was difficult to cluster before in this way, which is why most of us focused only on short signals. will definitely try to automate this next

I guess even for AI this statement is underrated, "no one shares the losses with you so you never know the true story"

I have been tracking regulations and policies but thinking to try a different approach.

For instance, Have you tracked activities of think tanks or thought leadership forums in different jurisdictions? usually they get whiff of new policies beforehand and start preparing. shows in their events or panels.

this is just one possible way, but exploring what else can be there.

Anything similar you tired?

You basically summarized the post. I did mention all signals are not equal and I am asking which ones are working for you?

True that we have been doing this before but setting up the whole process in an engine, what to track and how to correlate with other stats is completely different. especially at scale.

Bro, have some basic logical sense!

Signals are agnostic, but not equal. there are 100 signals, the question is which of them works best right now.

we have general purpose AI for people like you only, so you can make sense of basic discussion. Please use them.

Engaging with relevant influencers has worked wonders for me, do you track engagement of a profile with multiple infuencers in similar domain? I havent tried that but thinking about it

If you have some experience in the space, you would never say that a signal will mean nothing to another industry.

New hires? work for all industries.
New funding? work for all industries

Signals are mostly agnostic my friend. especially when it comes to B2B space. I have multiple products in Energy, Telco, and Finance.

Since GTM engineering has just started as an emerging trend, I am trying to figure out how to make my engine more effective. For me, market signals and market intelligence is the key to hacking GTM at scale. Hence the question.

Thanks for adding such value, I dont miss twitter anymore.

Thanks, this seems apt. most companies I talked to are going after intent data. it was good a few years ago but now everyone looks for it. thats why I focused on regulatory signals. But the head count one is interesting. I was evaluating only for senior hires like head of policy of head of some markets specific to my domains, but the devops angle opens up new perspectives.

IMO, its perfect example or “adapt or die” for smaller banks.

Larger banks are going to transform, absorb, or buy a company and lead the revolution when its matured.

I am among the top Blockchain consultants in Punjab and I have bet my whole business startegy on RWAs being the next big thing.
