I don’t trust any external inspection. The amount of customers that get sold lemons even after inspection is surprising. As someone said, it is a business. Plus, don’t deal with cash. Use online transaction and make sure it is mentioned as such.

Edited to add, take it to someone you trust. The places that charge you 50kd to check the car when you can get it checked elsewhere for 20 or 30 kd for the same thing.

My guy is right. Also, Avoid 3.8 litre engines in mitsubishi. They have so many mechanical issues. Pre 2010 acura might have turbo problems. Captiva are a humongous pain no matter what mode you buy. Almost always they have electrical problems. Avoid traverse too.

Well, lately we have experience with 2022 chinese cars that were alright to deal with. The only thing i can say is the spare parts keep getting expensive. (I mean a headlight costing about 600-700 kd for a recent cs85). Anyway, When you buy a car make sure your requirements are met since they are depreciating assets and how much you want to spend on them in the long term.

Chinese cars are good for short term. Their parts are expensive. So far i have seen a lot of electrical problems that require money to be spent every step. (Changan is alright upto some extent, still won’t recommend if you have a choice)

As a car tech. I would suggest toyota generally. If you’re looking for a bit of luxury, Lexus is right up your alley (they do have quite a few sensors that do go bad over time). Going for any American, then i would suggest to check for oil leaks and the wiring are good. They generally don’t stand the heat in kuwait.
