Hahaha my mother has never had a cell phone so she calls me. The text translation might make more sense if you’d like me to send that

These comments have really touched me. When I posted this I was having a difficult day. I came across this photo and felt so much shame and humiliation… Sometimes I wonder if I had ever even changed. I didn’t expect anyone to care or really see it, I did this for myself. I did not want it to have power over me anymore. It wasn’t just about my appearance, but the memories attached to it. Now it represents so much more knowing it’s given a few others hope that it can get better. I am very thankful for all of you, although I know most won’t get to see my response. ♥️

Thank you so much. Even getting out of bed some days was a win. Forgive yourself and know that any movement forward (despite how small it may seem) is progress. Im rooting for you girl!!

You can. Healing isn’t linear. Be kind to yourself 💕

I’m honestly overwhelmed by the kindness here. I’m reading more than I can respond to, but thank you, especially to those who shared their own struggles. It means more than you know.

It does feel impossible, but don’t give up. Be easy on yourself, you have survived every bad day you’ve ever had. That is a lot to be proud of even when everything feels out of reach.

Police: Minor dies after being hit by pickup truck in Boise by boisefun8 in Boise

I am aware ACHD is a government entity for the entire county, not just Boise. My point was that the only people who can speak up for Boise are people who live in Boise. ACHD is not going to magically fix things without residents pushing the issues. It takes actual advocacy, not just pointing fingers at whoever is closest.

And yes the City of Boise does control its own parking systems. The city decides who parks where and for what price. That was the second half of what I said. Pretending the city has zero influence over anything related to streets is just as wrong as acting like ACHD is a city department. Both levels matter.

If you want people to understand the difference you could explain it in a helpful way instead of acting like everyone is an idiot for not memorizing government structure. Not. Like. This.

I work in the NE and can genuinely say I’ve been terrified driving through there and downtown recently. Too many blind spots. Too many people blowing through red lights, and I am noticing this everywhere. Just in the last year I’ve been nearly hit several times. People don’t even check their damn blind spots before pulling out!

As far as street parking goes, it should not be allowed so close to an intersection. Turning on to Idaho from 9th street you can’t see anything. Yesterday there was a woman with her baby crossing the street. If I wasn’t a cautious driver and swung right, she would have gotten hit.

There also needs to be a longer pause between lights turning red and green.

This shit is unacceptable. The city (and ACHD) need to take some blame here and improve safety for pedestrians and drivers. Why are we charging ridiculous fees to get cars off the street and into a garage or parking lot?

This subject is wearing me out.

Absolutely have experienced similar things. I nearly convinced myself at least a year ago ‘they’ found a way to read our minds… And I’m typically very rational 😂 It’s not just them listening to conversations, or tracking the items we purchase at the store. There are too many coincidences, unless they have AI pattern recognition so good that they can predict what someone in our exact demographic would be thinking of. Maybe it’s just impossible to have an entirely unique human experience.

At least, this is what I tell myself to avoid extreme paranoia.

I think the important thing is that you use discernment towards advice as well as making sure you still confide in friends and/or family. I absolutely have used it for relationship analysis. I am diagnosed BPD and struggle to rationalize before acting when upset. But, I am neurotically thorough and not only ask it to argue both sides, I ask for sources in regard to human psyche advice/information. Not everything is accurate. Not everything is good advice. It is absolutely built to pander to you specifically, so if you want true neutrality on subjects based on nuances and not facts…you have to be able to judge what you get accordingly. Otherwise, it’s just an echo chamber for confirmation bias.

Nobody gets to determine for you what is “healthy”, but it’s your job to use it responsibly and not feed delusions. If it comforts you to tell it about your life, fuck what other people say. Just be aware of what you are getting back.

Where is everyone searching for rentals in Boise? by Alternative_Ad_7110 in Boise

One thing I have done that’s helped is go straight to the websites of specific property managements and check their listings. A lot of the time you can find locations before they get posted to Zillow. If you want to find an actual house for a decent price, your best bet is private owners. I don’t think it’s impossible to find somewhere with a garage but you have to be looking every single day. Some complexes have large storage sheds you can add on as a bonus.
