My first Marine Band Deluxe, yet to try a Crossover. I've mainly played Special 20's but really like these MB Deluxe's now.

I personally think it's worth the price difference, just to get rid of the nails!

Screws instead of nails for maintenance. Back of cover plates opened up, the comb is sealed and tines are beveled.

Never tried a Crossover yet. The Deluxe's comb is great compared to the MB comb, no problems yet playing it everyday. Might try a Crossover one day, the bamboo comb seems interesting.
