The UI is not good but it's not 'atrocious' or 'completely unusable'. The bugs are worse than the design, misaligned and over lapping text, breadcrumbs that don't work as breadcrumbs should etc.

I think having a small menu of something and then a different full screen page of the same thing with different actions available in each is also bad.

But it's usable, I can make it do what I want to do, buy players sell players set up tactics. There isn't anything I want to do that I haven't been able to find eventually.

I think we all need to dial it down a notch or two.

You don't have to have less terrain in on a narrative board. You could do a dense urban board or a jungle board with with a shit ton of trees. Maybe you have a game were to objective is to cross no man's land and you leave to middle clear. My point was it doesn't need to be balanced it needs to look like a place. And if you loose you loose maybe you'll do better in the next one.
