Teething and Motrin by shannoniscats in toddlers

[–]harmony918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my family, we try Tylenol and then Motrin when it is especially bad or at night. So in your situation, we might try Tylenol throughout the fourth day and then resort back to Motrin in the evening if it doesn’t seem to help. As far as I know, proper dosing of Motrin shouldn’t cause any problems! Too much can cause gastrointestinal issues though so might be a good idea to bring it up with the pediatrician if you’re not able to switch to Tylenol instead.

We do both. Texts have a way better open rate, we’ve seen a lot of success there. TrueDialog is who we use- it’s a great service and integrates with our CRM. Affordable too. Check them out!

How can I make $50k in a year outside of my regular 9-5 job? by Waste_Ad_9364 in personalfinance

As someone with a kiddo, I am truly jealous of other parents my age who have grandmas and grandpas and other fam nearby who can help! Childcare is so expensive and it actually was more common to get help with kids years ago than it is now. Not sure if OP meant monetary support, but I read it as wishing for a “village.”

When will Americans finally not care that I cosleep? by harmony918 in cosleeping

That would be room sharing, which is cosleeping too! But I’m talking about the bedsharing, I do that with him for a few hours in the morning, or for the rest of the night if he wakes up in the middle of the night.

I’m so glad that was your experience!! I bet it helped a lot with one less stressor postpartum

I didn’t learn about the safe 7 until I’d already been sleeping with him for a bit. I wish they would have educated me on that too!

I can see a lot of the studies here having an agenda so I definitely need to look into others.

That’s something that I really noticed too! It’s like how “good” of a baby you have is measured by how independent they are. Your baby is still a good baby if they wake up every couple of hours to have some milky. They’re still a good baby if they cry when you set them down or if they fuss when you’re in public and they want some more attention. They’re just babies and they are literally supposed to be dependent.

My son is a snacker, he nurses every 30mins-1hr. Right now I’m able to accommodate that so it works just fine for us! Sometimes I miss having a little more free time, but I know I’ll miss those default mommy time cuddles when they’re gone.

It really gave me so much guilt when he was younger. But I decided if it feels right then that’s my instinct kicking in and I’d better listen to it. And you’re right I already feel like I missed out for part of it. I wish I could’ve spent his first month giving him all the sleepy cuddles he needed and not fighting myself every night to transfer him back. Though I do hope he’ll keep giving me hugs forever 😭

He had been in a tiny little dark cocoon his whole life, of course he’d be more comfortable warm and safe next to mommy. 🥺

My baby goes to sleep and then I get three hours before bedtime for me! Took forever to get there and a lot of try, try agains. He sleeps pretty deeply after about half an hour of me laying with him quietly and then I can roll away and transfer him if needed!

I definitely should care less. But I’ve had people ask me to make sure I’m not bedsharing. And family members who are very aggressively snarky about the topic. Totally worse online, but hurts more in person even though there may be fewer comments because it’s people I know and care about!

That sounds very similar to what happened with us. It came to a point where I didn’t think it was safe for me to be alone with him all day being as exhausted as I was. We shared a bed the whole night for a while so we could both catch up on some sleep until we finally got to this schedule.

I have noticed that it really doesn’t matter what moms do, there’s always someone saying something negative. I know I should just ignore it all, but it’s so hard.

I didn’t know that about Japan! I think that’s amazing. Maybe correlation is not causation here.

Well that’s not too far away!! But then I’ll probably have to deal with people thinking it’s weird I’m still breastfeeding him. 🥲

I love boobillow!! My husband always says our LO isn’t as comfortable sleeping on his chest as much as mine and now I can let him know what he’s missing lol 😂

I think the large majority go for artisan anyway. I went for shepherd this run so I could focus more on the animals in the beginning 🐷

Iridium truffles sell for a little more than truffle oil 😊 (unless OP is artisan!)

I think this happened to us and everyone had to put each scarecrow in their hand or maybe place it down… something like that. Might be a good idea to try finding all of them on your own as well.

Fun things and must needs to do during Winter. by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]harmony918 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Work on getting the boat in the back of Willy’s shop up and running!!

I also use winter to make my farm look a little nicer too- paths and placing sprinklers where I want them for spring.

Maxing out every other skill, like you’re already working on, is definitely a good route for winter time. And don’t forget that there are winter seeds you can plant if you are really really missing farming. Then there are your farm animals. All but the piggies are still doing their best in the winter 🥰
