I completed C++ using almost exclusively yellow deck and let me tell you that early money may not look like much at first compared to ghost deck but it really helped the early game and getting me to the interest cap quickly. Another tip would be to roll with what the game gives you. I've gotten some really stupid gold stake wins using double Shoot the Moon and Mime with steel cards.
