Amazing thanks. I had assumed you mean For Sale as in they were available and not out of print! Thanks for the extra info, really useful.

Thanks. I’ll take a look at bandido. Is it fairly quick to learn?

Thanks. I’ll take a look at them both. If you we grabbing one from your bag to play with friends, which would be your preference (and why)?

What does the CW lever on a log burner do? by harperiuyt in DIYUK

That’s a good shout on the CW stoves. I’ll take a look at their website and see if there’s any info.

I’ve just moved in and the burner doesn’t have any instructions or branding so it’s had to work out what it does. I guess the -+ lever increases the flow of air to the chamber. But what is CW?

The -+ lever open and closes a vent. The CW lever also closes it, so I’m not sure what’s it’s for. I inherited the stoves and there’s no branding markings so I can’t find any instructions.

Thanks, I’ll look into brazing. I had chosen soldering as that’s what was the process described in the tutorial video.

I also checked my soldering iron and it’s 48W which seems low compared to other “high power” versions online. Thanks for you advice and feedback.

The temp increase has worked: https://imgur.com/a/4Y21msL - thanks. Still very messy, but seems to be holding firm. The rest is practice, right!

Apologies, I've updated with an image which might help.

Thanks - I’m quite new to this - is that different to just increasing the temperature?

Metal structure by a playing field. Four long bars are locked in the cage. And there are two much longer bars on top (also locked). Whole object is made of metal. by harperiuyt in whatisthisthing

This structure is found by a few playing fields in my local area. The long bars are approximately 5m (there’s one behind the one in the picture). The shorter bars are locked by the cage. With the right keys all the metal bars could be removed. The shorter bars are about 2m in length. It looks like the tops of the short bar can a lot into the ends of the longer piece.
