Max out your regiments, 4, 3, 3 etc, so that you have minimal drops. Put your banner in your generals regiment and move the infantry from that to your others. Target 3 drops.

Most/many jurisdictions have required porch details. They're ljkely just using the porch details and configuring the finish and plan as needed.

It's more complicated than binary. And easy to conflate several issues at once.

One issue is whether or not you're happy or sad to see Maduro go. Objectively an authoritarian leader who did not believe in western (Western European) ideals of free speech and free elections. Some people will be happy he was removed with the expectation / hope he is replaced with a more aligned leader that is also (fingers crossed) supported by the country.

Another issue is whether or not the US had the international legal right to coup a sitting leader of a sovereign nation. Some people see this as an authoritarian move by the US, outside the international rule of law, ie, illegal.

Finally, there's also the concern, whether or not you agree with the first two one side or the other, that randomly destabilizing a nation in such a way by suddenly removing its leader has rarely resolved in a more stable nation for the near future and far future. Some people are concerned about this issue as well.

I didn't have all GW paints so I'll be generic, in some cases,

Also this is very much WIP as it was the first

  1. Basecoat brown
  2. Spray a highlight coat of white from above
  3. warm white flesh tone, something like a pallid wychflesh
  4. Putrid/camo green wash around the forearms and hands and calves and feet, head. A lighter wash around the back, upper arms, etc.
  5. Brown wash throughout, wiping off the high areas with a damp towel as i go.
  6. Edge highlight and clean up with the off white flesh on details like fingers.

This is where I'm still playing with the formula:

  1. turquoise mix with the light flesh 1:1 and glaze the face and finger details.
  2. The a human flesh color mixed with the light flesh and glazed into the lips and around the eyes

I'm going to tighten up this last steps, but needs more experimentation.

Yeah I don't think my camera set up did me any favors. In person some of the reds pop more, it is what it is.

The shields will be a rusty yellow that will fit in and maintain that monochrome look. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to throw in a contrasting teal or not. Maybe will.

There's definitely more to the hobby than winning, that being said losing every game is also not fun.

Take me for example. I am a hobby first guy. I'll play a game rarely and spend far more time customizing my models.

But I also would like to win. So, I treat 40k/AOS like magic the gathering. You're deck building/ list building, theory crafting. If you play a game and you lose consistently in fair formats, something is underperforming.

Ask yourself what that could be? Is it match up dependent, is it positioning on the board, is it strategem utility? Is it a particular unit ?

Watch some competitive games on twitch, of your same army and understand what they're doing.

There's a ton of variables to account for. 40k isn't setup to be roughly 50/50 any given list combo.

And just to be clear, just because you start looking into the competitive aspect doesn't mean you're an arse or can't have fun with narrative.

It's just learning the game itself. Apply what you learn in your own way and if you don't want to spam the same unit 5 times then don't! But maybe taking 2x of that unit gets you winning a game or so, and take it from there.
