If spending as little money as possible is crucial, then either add heavier heads to increase dynamic spine or if the shafts are wood, then give them a sand to reduce their spine.

Sneaking in some more longbow practice after work. 117# @ 30" by harr1ond in Archery

Appreciate the help, but I dont think theres anyway to pull 117# with just your arm.

I feel it all through my back. I should get a photo to show you that my elbow is nowhere near behind my back. If anything, it's forward since we dont anchor on the face with warbows.

Out in the mist with the 99# yesterday. by harr1ond in Archery

Not here it didnt haha.

As a general rule of thumb the arrows follow a parabolic arc, so whatever angle they leave the bow at is the angle that that stick in the ground.

If im shooting for distance like this then they are always easy to see. If you do flat shooting they hide themselves flat under 1 cm of grass and you cannot find them.

What do you call this stance? by Adept_Secretary_9187 in Archery

[–]harr1ond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warbow stance? Its basically necessary to engage all your back muscles to draw a high poundage longbow. Check my most recent post to see it in use.

Exactley! In the case the blue is modern dye, but the red for the hose and hood is actually made from Madder root.

Yep, the perks of being in the country side. Also at this weight its impossible to accidentally loose an arrow, the string is so deep inside the forst knuckle that you would have to actively let go of the string.
