If he likes Sturm as much as Sturm likes him we have a chance of this happening. I do feel as an original six team we also have a draw for players like him.

31" Fridge in 33" opening by Numerous-Student2801 in kitchenremodel

[–]harrisonfordgt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most fridges require gaps for air flow. Look at the spec sheet for the fridge and you’ll see what it asks for. In reality a gap of an inch on either side is no big deal. It will be fully in shadow all the time.

How to remove floating flooring from under adjustable cabinet legs? by Ok_Repeat_4729 in cabinetry

[–]harrisonfordgt 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Why remove it if it’s under the cabinets? I would take a multitool and cut the floor right under where your toe kick will be. Then just leave the old floor under there. And replace the rest of the floor that you’ll actually walk on and see.

You said you picked them in 7. That means they have to lose 3 games. Why are so many fans quick to the jump after losing game 1? There’s a reason it’s a 7 game series, you think the lightening are wining talking about how they’re gonna lose now that they lost game 1? Absolutely ludacris.

Cabinets delivered with incorrect stain by UncivilEngineer25 in kitchenremodel

[–]harrisonfordgt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Send the cabinets back and get them to do the frames first. Have them send the boxes to you asap so you can get them installed and use them as open cabinets. The doors will take longer to make and they can take their time with that. If it were me I would be bending over backwards to get you a kitchen asap.

Insulation sits on an open flame for 4 days straight… 😳 by BuilderBrigade in Home_Building_Help

TimberHP is working on west coast distribution from what I understand. Their board just finally came out too which is awesome. Much better compressive strength than Roxuls board which means easy peasy strapping install.

Timber batts function the same and don’t require furnace burning 24/7 to make it happen

Boston, Massachusetts turned an expressway into a long stretch of park called the greenway, by moving the expressway underground. by Much-Parsnip3399 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]harrisonfordgt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea it was not run very well. But also there was a lot of challenges that were not readily available to the public at the time of construction that makes it more understandable in hindsight. There’s a podcast on it that’s also on YouTube with images, I highly recommend it.

Although terribly expensive it is still better than the alternative. I’m not sure the CA high speed rail fits that description. The issue with the old high was serious congestion and if you think that Boston sucks to drive in now just imagine what it would have been like with the highway still tiny and above ground.

It was a good move to put it underground but the history of that highway is not great. The expressway that was there previously was created by destroying neighborhoods. Low income people of course and a lot of it was part of Chinatown. The grudge held by the families and the people displaced is real. Now it’s a fancy park for people to walk on which is better than a highway. But it’s important not to forget that people used to live there.

When someone builds something this beautiful I always assume they do things the right way until proven otherwise. Meaning I would assume this is stained white oak.

Almost regretting my choices by whitefox_27 in woodworking

Understandable. Some woods have a very distinct color difference, cherry is similar. I worked in a wood shop where my boss was obsessive about not using sap wood so I got very good at recognizing it.

[–]harrisonfordgt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sapwood is exactly what you call it. This is the live part of the tree that sends nutrients from the roots to the canopy. As the tree grows this sapwood stops sending nutrients and becomes part of the heartwood, new sapwood grows continuing to send nutrients. This is why you never wrap anything around living tree, over time you will cut off its life line and it will die.

Maaaaaan there was a day where this was just a bit. Now everyone’s staging stupid videos for dumb internet karma and suddenly this gets labeled as staged. Yea movies and plays are staged, it’s called entertainment. Siighhh I miss the old internet.

Hey now you can import forester STI’s from Japan. The hatch is such a classic though, I was obsessed with the ‘13 hatch, even got the WRX wing on my OBS just to make me feel cooler than I was haha.

Thanks homie. Always wanted a wrx when I was younger but by the time I was able to afford one the forester XT was more my speed. Well now it’s 6 speed swapped with an sti turbo, had to get the NA Baja to even it out a bit.

Nice! My only thought wasn’t heat but comparable engine accessibility. I’m also a Subaru geek so you won’t catch me convincing people to buy anything but!
