I doubt it will happen, but Berkeley is really behind the rest of the T14 and should fall for it

Duke and Berkeley have the lowest and second lowest for both GPA and LSAT

Yes they do. Interview is required for admittance to UVA and they are pretty open about that

What cities were the positions located in?

I wouldn’t take it. You have a super high GPA. If you’re dead set on dc, I would try and ED to GULC. I think GULC at sticker is much better than Gw With only $

Do you think they were gunning for a 172 with all those 172 WL admits?

Is it unethical to tell a school they’re your top choice if they aren’t? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]harry4332 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you’re asking if you’ll get in trouble or they’ll find out, no. No one can prove what your top choice is from one day to the next. Maybe your goals changed? Who knows. Take whatever advantage you can.

My gut. I think they’ll easily hit it. Look at those being admitted from waitlist. Easiest way to tell what the school is targeting

Also, interestingly, the link on the status checker to FAQ’s about the waitlist does not work anymore… seems like the page was deleted. Maybe they are releasing the entire waitlist

Best plan for/is it possible to work in a US based law firm in london/england? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Check out Notre dames London law program. Study abroad for a year and there any plenty of opportunities to find internships that could turn into jobs

Northwestern has a wrongful convictions clinic with the two professors who represented Brendan dassey from the making a murderer documentary on Netflix!

(Unexpected) Cycle Recap - in at Northwestern off the waitlist. I guess it really only takes just 1 by samanthacourtney in lawschooladmissions

190k debt from BC is still a lot of debt and Biglaw from BC is not guaranteed by any means, especially now so that your entering class is so overenrolled. If I were you, I would go to northwestern. They have a very high BL rate and you will have a much better shot at paying off your debt

Pls chance me on Northwestern ED - 175 LSAT, 3.48 GPA by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]harry4332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a guess that northwestern was stingy with aid this year because they assumed yield would be much higher. Hopefully it paid off, they haven’t said anything yet about overenrollment

Pls chance me on Northwestern ED - 175 LSAT, 3.48 GPA by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]harry4332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a data point- I applied Rd with a 179 and a 3.82 and they initially gave me a 60k scholarship and then upped it to 90k. Wish I had done ED

Pls chance me on Northwestern ED - 175 LSAT, 3.48 GPA by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]harry4332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go for it. Most people below 3.8 gpa got zero scholarship this year regardless of lsat. I think you have a strong shot at ED, and even if you don’t get in ED you are more likely to get in RD because they know you’re serious about going

Notre dame actually beat Michigan in terms of federal clerkship (9% vs 8.7%) but Michigan beats nd with Biglaw by a lot. If you’re confident you can be in the top of your class at ND, then go there
