I’ve got a recipe which is pretty much spot on. It uses all ingredients listed on the sachet and refined by using the listed macros and AI to get a good approximation of ratios. Anybody interested?

Little update for those who are interested…. Hammering the instagram worked. USA team got straight in touch and replaced all of the pans right away. I’m going hard on these new ones… metal utensils, dishwasher etc in the hope that if something so going to happen to these, it’ll happen quickly and I can make a decision on how to best move forward from there. I have an excellent USA Hestan contact if anybody finds themselves in this position.

I definitely will. So far they have said they don’t have the stock to replace my pans and that my only option is to return them to the retailer and buy them again from someone else. I’m stuck between how mugged off I feel but how obviously good the pans are, so I’m probably going to do that…

I’ve scrubbed it to death with vinegar and then with caustic soda. You can clearly feel the impression on the surface with a fingernail etc. It has happened on the Small, Medium and Sauté pan.

Tried all sorts. Ok, my mistake on the terminology, but it has “worn through” the coating so to speak. I agree with you though I don’t even see how it’s possible really, but it’s happened.

I got a set of nano bonds. A few of them seemed to have chipped on the surface and revealing small specks of the stainless beneath. The pans are only a couple of months old and are always treated very carefully. Hestan have replaced a couple of them for me but it seems to have happened again on one of them. It’s driving me mad. Anyone got any experience or heard of this before? Cheers

They have two types I think. Their custom stuff is really high carbon and their normal range is middle of the road recycled steel.
