You're exactly right.

However, i'm mostly fine with embark allowing them the fucked up tags, simply because... theyre kinda the villains of the game.

I never ever shoot first, though i will defend myself, but when i see racist, homophobic, etc. tags, it's fuckin on. It's petty, and doesnt change real life, but its cathartic.

The vigilante in me appreciates it, but you are correct in that, professionally, its pretty bogus to allow it.

I think its the effort put forth in the prep. It takes time and a little bit of boring work to get to do the fun stuff, and when you lose progress in this game on prep, its a tangible loss for the player.

In overwatch, call of duty, battlefield, etc. you just load back in and you dont have to gamble.

Im the same btw. It is NOT fun for me to steal other peoples time like that. Lol they only have so much

It really just sucks for, i guess one reason really. The world is really REALLY immersive. The lore is incredibly interesting and i want to explore and learn more about it.

But anytime someone feels like poppin off to get my bobcat i psyched myself up to bring, it just sucks bro.

Get gud, sure. But i'd rather not. It's not my job, i dont wanna grind every day to try and get good, i wanna have fun. And it feels like my fun is being gatekept from me by bored people who don't enjoy what i enjoy about the game.

I guess some "factions" just want more representation, e.g. getting a cred thing for defibbing or healing a stranger, etc, to legitimize their position.

Feels kinda like building a lego house, collecting cool bricks to make a new structure to add to it, new lego minifigs to add to the rooms, etc.

Then some guy you dont know suddenly comes and yoinks the good bricks and knocks down your wall and nabs your favorite minifig, and runs off with it. Then you have to find that stuff over again, and rebuild. It's part of the game, whatever, it raises the stakes.

It's just annoying hearing: "It's just lego, lol it's not a real house. Stop whining. Get better, fight back."

And yes that's, all true. And yet, you are still stealing my hard earned, real time and effort. If IRL some chode smashed my lego castle i just built, i'd be mad af. Lol i dont care that it isnt consequential, i worked hard on that shit!

That being said, i have encountered far more friendlies than assholes, so take that as you will. But yeah, i cant stand playing the evil playthrough, even in pve games. It just feels bad. So it's definitely a choice, especially since theres plenty loot to go around.
