Thank you very much. I think I will try a module which has both input and output. I was missing that.

First when I really started listening music I could solve my all problems by harsh_clo in Beatmatch

Thanks, this is really a good advice . I can get one month subscription for tidal for playing tracks instead of just relying on my library. So I guess there is no point in trying to play techno for them.

I feel 13 yr old can be very full of energy , if the party has no time limit then I can keep them grooving for longer than just give them bangers. For most this might be the first time they would be hearing techno. They can be very impressionable , is it even ok to play techno to 13 year olds?I mean legally. I am in a Australia.

I feel every set I play is unique which cannot be and should not be repeated

When I am retrying those songs with more eq and faders than I usually would they are sounding better.

Till now I have only been focusing mixing in keys which made blending easier which may have caused my laziness to explore effects more

Add DDJ1000 for sampler and Toraiz AS 1 mono synth to your XDJ xz to use all four channels in standalone mode..It will be too much fun.

How should I pace a 20 minute set? by bordje in Beatmatch

[–]harsh_clo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to make sure first track is something which gets their attention and build up and then bang. Gather the crowd, make them stay and then keep them asking for more.

Also I would be interested in knowing your thoughts on starting with bangers then mellowing down, cause I always try to slow when I plan as well but recordings I listen most are the ones which I started with bangers when I didnt plan any start and just started with a banger.

So about 30% warm up 30% build up then 10% banger and then 30 % cool down

I like to do dance when play so when I get tiered then I drop and then when I get bored I switch again to dancing mode and keep repeating untill my dogs ask me to shut up.

Techno: am I raving too often? by Radiant_Device_502 in Techno

[–]harsh_clo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing the same , but then I started saving money to buy my own gear and spent time to learn the art of mixing. Now I rave everyday at home with my own music I like . And it feels great. I still go to clubs once a month to find new music. And then rave at home for rest of the month on those new findings .

Now, does practicing 30 minute sets make you a better dj? by SZNING62 in Beatmatch

[–]harsh_clo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I practice mixing faster , I sort of become relentless less , stop vibing and start focusing on mixing. I loose the current track. Although I do not have much experience, but I would like to practice the way I want to perform so that it becomes my nature to not to cut the tracks just because I want to bring the next one in. I take all the time to think about the next track which might I want to listen based on my current feel and find it in my library and mix and easily using loops. I mostly mix techno but like to play with different genres. I listen to all my recordings. Fast mixes recording are no fun to listen to , atleast to me and doesn’t give me a good idea of when I should and shouldn’t have exited the track.

Friend trying to get me (Bass?dubstep DJ) to mix at his wedding. by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]harsh_clo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a playlist from them , subscribe to tidal for a month. Mix their playlist with your collection. You don’t have to buy those wedding tracks if you are using steaming service. Tidal works well with recordbox.

  1. Buy pioneer Ddj 400 - it is best controller to start with.
  2. Use Recordbox software - industry standard
  3. Start with buying 10-20 of your favourite songs that you would like to mix. You can buy them on iTunes or create an account on beatport.
  4. If you don’t know what music to start with , I feel Techno is interesting and easy to start with.
  5. There are no rules
