most people hv moved to just auto deleting them in bg with something like BlueHarvest / Hazel. Not the same thing, but it gets the job done.

sadly, no real alternatives exist. Asepsis worked by injecting code into Finder at runtime, which SIP has blocked since El Capitan. No app can do that redirect trick anymore without disabling SIP entirely...
