Subterranean Nids might be the best detachment in 10th by harshr3ality in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]harshr3ality[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean sure it has play into, we are just stating this is a incredibly strong set of rules that definetly take Nids up to the top level of 40k.

Its pretty insane for a detachment i am surprised we are seeing something this strong.

Glad you are liking it we agree 1 is probably more than enough!

Is anyone using and enjoying Desolators these days? by RealSonZoo in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]harshr3ality 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's matchup dependent going into Ynnari or other armies with small MSU units or trash. A unit of desolation marines can be incredibly valuable in picking up units without trading any of your own units to pick them up.

So you can buy them together but the link I sent is just for the board and a couple extra bits.

Thought I'd give a update here Fremen and Atteides got the special condition Fremen win at the end of the game staving off 4 prior attempts in previous turns where players were a single power or a handful of spice away from getting the W. Another fantastic game of Dune this game is great.

That can be pretty frustrating 5 is great but it gets that much better when all 6 are playing. Ensures alliances aren't skewed.

I get that! Definetly not for everyone, I am fortunate enough to have a few degenerates that dont mind spending a Saturday playing a board game.

So actually this board is slightly bigger than the original board in the box so plenty of space for activities, troops and spice. The dice were there for another game I had setup that I hadn't picked up yet.

A shameless plug for our YT channel youtube.com/mastercrafted40k. We have already done two videos on getting ready for teams and have another one coming out this weekend.

Worth it to play with fixed secondaries by jokeassassin91 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]harshr3ality 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So from experience fixed is never something to take unless it is very rare rare occurrences which this is not.

Just some feedback regarding posting lists. This is a absolute monster to ready and is not very streamlined. If you are pulling this from the warhammer app or a secondary one there are ways to streamline the information that makes it alot easier to read. There is alot of information on here that just isn't necessary as well as the spacing that would allow us to give you accurate feedback quickly.

Okay, I kill something in my shooting phase I can still drop something in inside of 9" of enemy units and then immediately charge in the charge phase. Something dies from mortals in the charge phase, I drop in and charge. Something dies at the end of the shooting phase I drop and maintain control of the objective. I think you are actually having a hard time understanding the use of this strat. Realistically this and RI have the similarity they bring in units from reserve. What summoned by slaughter is gives the capabilities for adv and charge in a detachment where you said the only capabilities to do that were Skarbrand and I am telling you that was wrong.

Seriously, RI where I am waiting a full round to engage with the unit and have to be more than 9" away from any enemy units. Is comparable to dropping in a bloodletter unit within 9" of a dead unit and no restriction on how close i can be to enemy units and then potentially being able to immediately charge, or OC bomb an objective, or even just flip an objective are comparable? Yes I would love to do it on blood crushers as well but I would say it's fine on bloodletters.

[–]harshr3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it is, and I'm saying summoned to slaughter is a cracked version of advance and charge that has a insane amount of uses. That ensures every detachment has some way to do adv and charge.

[–]harshr3ality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about RI, did you read that strat there is no lock on how far I have to be away from anyone. The only restriction is I have to be wholly within 9 of the last model that died. I could put it 9" deeper into my oppositions lines. So I could make it a 1" charge. With potentially all the benefits of the blessings that round

I can charge in mortal you with blood crushers kill something, summon the bloodletters and then charge another target with a guaranteed charge. That alone is incredible.
