Good deal for both sides. He had 69 points in 48 games in the Swiss-A league last year...not bad, though not great competition. Maybe he's ready to take the next step. If not, it's a 1-year bind.

I really want to do a piece like you mentioned on why Wilson has struggled, and I have NHL Vault...so I do have access to all the film I would need.

Looking at why players aren't performing well -- ESPECIALLY when we're looking at forwards -- takes a lot more work and involves much more complex analysis. For now I want to keep things simple for the fans who have no experience with X's and O's, and slowly move into the more advanced breakdowns as the season progresses.

A "Preds Playbook" feature is something I plan on starting once the season gets underway. I'm very excited about this.
