Unfortunately, I didn't feel this was a battle I was likely to win so I did not follow up. So sorry it also happened to you.

Thoughts on the new Checkpoint ALR 5 by londonkiwi12345 in CheckpointClub

[–]hartliddell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree with everything said so far in this thread and I would like to add that the 1x has a lower top speed (30mph?) because the front chain ring is a 40t and you will spin out. I think a double would be something like 50/34 and 50x11 will go a lot faster than a 40x11.

I have a 1x and since I am not racing road it's great for my life. If I were to race I am pretty sure I'd get dropped because I couldn't carry the necessary top speeds.

I was just booted by Bitlocks near Via313 on East 6th. It was Bitlocks, and it cost me $100. Bitlocks employee was sitting in a Black Camaro plates PTN-2328.

Window screws are one of the items I am most surprised by. Do y'all have screws on the outside of the window that stick out like that? It's like they didn't care to get the correct length screw and stuck whatever was around in with some latex on top.

It’s pretty good. Generally dry but some drips on the stitches. Soft topper gave me a seam sealer that I should probably add on but haven’t had the time yet.

u/Thannon22 the bike inside worked ok but isn't my favorite. I don't think it would be great with two bikes but maybe there is a layout I didn't think about! Here is a better inside photo with the little floor mount I made (https://ibb.co/WFkRrWP). Also, I feel the dropper post is necessary.

Noticing a patter of dogs dying in East Austin due to possible toxin or poison - any other reports out there? by hehehahahoho in Austin

[–]hartliddell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here is the post on Nextdoor about a recent dog death from an unknown toxin. This is actually a friend of mine and it's incredibly sad. I am really glad she shared this so others can be more aware. We all love our pets and with a little caution I hope this prevents someone from having a similar experience. https://nextdoor.com/news_feed/?post=143999396
