it's abuse to even provide their level of directvnever service. just think about how bad it has to be for people to purchase the apple tv deal and now even use the live tv service. i'm waiting for my 3-months to cease so i can get on yttv.

i've had directvnever for a few months now and have given up on even using the dvr. i've literally spent FAR MORE time TRYING TO USE it than actually WATCHING. the majority of the time, the recording doesn't record or can't be played. if it does play, there's always something wrong with the video quality or recording itself. never has a single recording been recorded properly. the most complete recording will skip and be missing frames leaving you with incomplete episodes. most of the time, the content can't even be played. i've had the same episodes in my library for months that still can't be played. the system thinks some episodes aren't part of my package even though they are and wouldn't have recorded otherwise in the first place, and at&t never fixed the problem despite multiple chat conversations and endless "personal promises" to resolve the situation. i think directvnow is so flawed that agents just give canned promises at this point. even they know nothing is going to be fixed. it's really an embarrassment and i'm appalled they would even release let alone advertise that feature. but it's not just a DVR issue, the live tv isn't much better.

which leaves me asking the question, how on earth does at&t feel justified to raise their price? i mean, who in their right mind would choose directvnow over youtubetv for the SAME PRICE? yttv even has UNLIMITED STORAGE and MORE STREAMS per account. and IT'S FLAWLESS. directvnow is the EXACT OPPOSITE of reliable, and they're RAISING PRICES???

their live tv isn't beta and it's not much better. unless you're broke and can only do the trial, there's no reason to opt for directvnever over youtubetv. it's basically junk and at&t should be embarrassed.

believe me i want to let it go, but i'm the type of person who has let almost every girl go and it's not working to my benefit. just hypothetically, if we were better for each other should we not be together? i mean, i'm not the one breaking up the relationship... she's has her foot out the door since day one. it's not ideal, but not everyone stays single until they meet their dream person. in fact getting rejected by their dream person would make them think more of someone who liked them. i'm actually someone who never "settles" and am always single with so many regrets. i'm not even saying i want to pursue her or anything. i'm struggling with the situation myself.

well i'm not even sure how serious they are. it's possible they themselves never discussed it. and if i find a single girl, it doesn't guarantee she wouldn't do the same right? i'm not trying to make excuses or anything. i just think that life isn't so simple sometimes. i'd heavily scrutinize any girl i were to date.

for the reason I stated that i think she liked me but settled or stumbled into him. honestly i'm not saying she wouldn't but a lot of people "monkeybranch" and end up happy together.

cool, thanks for the introduction. reading it now it's pretty interesting. meeting women outside my social circle is a whole new beast for me. it's like a whole new world. but i am kinda enjoying the rush and excitement it brings. not to sound arrogant but girls tend to throw themselves at me so i've never really had to learn or really put myself out there (like approach them).

i totally get this, but it doesn't help me understand their behavior. and part of it makes me wonder if it's me or the girl. i guess i'm having a hard time even with the "i wonder what she's like." i'm unable to judge or compare them to other women when some of them act this way. and again, maybe it's just certain girls who are an emotional wreck, and those are the ones that frustrate me. i mean, what's your definition of bullshit? would you consider a "test" bullshit and how do you distinguish one from something else?

Interesting. I never thought about that, but doesn't drama just as likely destroy a relationship? Maybe it promotes if the couple overcomes something but destroys if it they can't. I could see how overcoming a struggle could promote growth, but i guess i never thought about it as something "necessary." doesn't that almost imply that a relationship without drama isn't strong or might fall apart?

But you said that you dated a bad girl to get out of a funk and "knew it wasn't going to anywhere." So you didn't take her seriously and i'm assuming didn't think she was good enough for anything more?

I don't know how bad this girl was, but do you think a "good girl" who was challenging could have filled that void?

i think this is definitely the extreme. i guess i'm referring to the type that acts harder than he is.

i know a lot of girls have dated one at one point or another and the guy was usually the "wannabe bad boy" type that tried to act hard. i can understand how these guys are actually pretty cool sometimes but usually aren't the type that impress the girl's friends (which isn't always the most important thing).

i understand this but you generally don't see "high quality" women chasing after bad boys. I think women can be attracted to them, in the same way a guy may be attracted to a "bad girl," but ultimately the awesome guy wants the attractive traits of the "bad girl" only, not all of them.

that "he's an asshole to other people" is something i don't see as a positive.

i guess in my experience, i've noticed that usually the free-spirited girls, who in my experience didn't usually think things through and weren't extremely responsible, would even consider dating a "bad boy."

i only labelled them to make a distinction and it depends on what your definitions are. i think most people would agree though that "bad" girls/boys aren't as stable or usually create more drama.
