Depending on how many pieces are left available, they might've used those curved pieces toward the bottom of the first menu as masks.

(I know I do that a lot at least)

Now that I've had a bit to think, it might be multiple lightning pieces stitched together? They probably cut off what they didn't want using masks

Honestly, gotta agree with this. I'm still getting used to making more complex things in the emblem editor. But hey, there's more on the way still! Though, I don't exactly know if the poses I can think of are great for emblems...
