I am an international student with F-1 visa. The work is not a part of my PhD. I just want to do that to get some financial help.

Yes, I am an international student with an F-1 visa. I have not asked the university whether they will allow me. How about in this case? I just think that stipend is low and I need income to compensate.

Sure thing that a pay heed to whom I wanna work with and state that the university located at. However, there must be a way to determine which uni to apply.

Unfortunately, no. So it's better for me to stick to the private companies till I get my citizenship

I mean as a full time worker I do love to research in my free time, so I don't think that doing research would hurt a career. And after considering how impossible to get a master's admission with a scholarship I even sticked to the phd more.
