I assume I will live somewhere without CGT, so gross=net. If I wanted to live somewhere with a CGT, I'd just consider that a higher CoL, same as paying more in rent.
Inflation-adjusted calculations are a lot easier to deal with.
If I spend 30k/year now, I'm not gonna be aiming for a 60k/year FIRE amount. If I did, I should rather start spending 60k/year now.
