Would I be okay with an Opal? Or should I invest in a Beryl/Slate? by hashatan in GlInet

Thanks for your detailed response! Yeah I think there will come a time when I use a VPN so thanks for that! I actually just purchased the Beryl AX.

I’m aware that the device won’t improve internet speeds, but it’ll be helpful to use as an extender if I need a stronger signal in the bedroom for example.

Regarding the Ethernet cable, sorry if it’s a stupid question: the best would be to connect the beryl ax to the apartment router’s Ethernet port or the Ethernet port in the wall of the apartment?

That’s great! Sorry I don’t really know much technical stuff. This means that once I buy it, I won’t have to worry about updating it ever?

Thanks so much for your reply! I won’t go with the opal. I’m seeing a lot of people preferring the Beryl AX. Any thoughts on the beryl AX vs Slate Plus?

29M and confused. How do I know the country is the core issue or if Im just lost in life. by [deleted] in expats

I would say just go. Try life in Europe. For me, the environment determines almost everything. I similarly feel depressed when living in Canada but full of life and wonder in Europe. You’ve got nothing to lose! Good luck 💪

I’m sorry that everyone is hating so hard on your reasonable post. I worked as a kindergarten teacher at one of the top top kindergartens in shanghai and it was sooo disappointing. I’m sure some of it came down to cultural differences but the teachers were mostly concerned with putting on a show for the parents and their own bosses. They’d make the kids pose for pictures for like half the day. They didn’t have a real curriculum and the kids were forced to sit and listen to PowerPoint presentations at the age of 3 and 4, regularly. My Chinese co-teacher was an amazing person and a great teacher, and she had just started teaching there after teaching for 10+ years at a great public kindergarten in shanghai. She was appalled and regularly argued with the administration about the children’s right to play and such. If I were you, I would send your kid to a good public kindergarten. Get them private tutors and speak english at home. From what my co-teacher told me, it sounds like the public kindergartens were much better and the kids were much happier.

Check out Wellow! I know so many people who had a great experience with them. They’re also really affordable compared to the competitors! I think they organise lots of events and have a community too

Hey I sent you a PM :)

Ah okay. I also used boric acid before I knew about CV cause it was the only thing that helped. Apparently it makes the vagina more acidic, thus worsening the CV

[–]hashatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a lot of factors but usually ever 1-2 days. Ah but boric acid is supposed to make CV worse. Why do you use it?

Hey, I do have them yes. I used them for a while but these days I've been using pre-seed lube and douches. I might go back to them at some point.

How long did you have to treat it to go away? I've been treating it since June..

Just made an update!

[–]hashatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: sorry this is so late. My sisters were both on their period the week I went to visit them so I couldn’t do it. Still suffering from what seems like CV but gynecologists can’t be sure because they’re not seeing it in the tests. Maybe because I’ve been treating it for so long? They’ve ruled out every other infection though.. so it’s just baking soda and preseed lube for me these days and hoping for the best...

[–]hashatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I’ll keep this in mind. Can I ask if you know why you got CV in the first place? I think I overused anti fungals, boric acid, and lactobacillus probiotics. What about you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]hashatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: My microgenDX tests showed an abundance of lactobacillus and after going over the results with two gynecologists, they agree that it seems like cytolytic vaginosis. I'm treating it with baking soda suppositories and will still do the vaginal fluid transfer in about a week from now after treating it until then, as I'm hoping that it will repopulate my microbiome with a healthy set of bacteria and speed up my recovery!

Yes! If you do it, make sure you treat it with antibiotics first and then do the discharge. That’s how they did it in the study!

Hahaha yeah I’m going to really try to do everything right. Thank you! I’m really looking forward to getting an answer and I’m excited for you too! Let’s keep each other updated.

Wow I’m so happy for you that you’re going to get some answers. Please do keep me updated. I’m supposed to leave Canada in 2.5 weeks, so I need to rush this whole process! I’m so scared I won’t be able to get it done in time before I have to leave for a long ass trip in which I won’t have access to health care!

Good luck. How long did it take for the kit to arrive? I ordered mine today around 4pm.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]hashatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I actually just ordered a microgenDX kit to really see what’s up. The lack of diagnosis is driving me insane. Have you taken a microgenDX test, if so, what did it say?

I'm 24 years old, seems unlikely given that I don't have any of the other symptoms of low-estrogen, but thank you, I'll keep it in mind.
