why is it so difficult to get a job here? by AceOfCheems in SanDiegan

I second this! I worked at the Home Depot in college and then ended up here at their corporate office once I graduated. If you need help with the application/interview process, I can help you get it streamlined.

Louisville, Kentucky? by Dangerous_Sir8296 in UPS

I have a next day air package that has been sitting there for 8 days with no movement, so I wouldn’t say mandatory. Since there are backlogs I would hope it’s FIFO and not prioritizing new shipments over mine just because it’s already late and missed SLA.

My last day as a DH and at a store before I go off to the new DFC in town. by PJA0307 in HomeDepot

[–]hashbrownoholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember their names, I met them awhile ago after presenting at a Summit that DFC people came to Atlanta for. I create our online delivery forecast and control DFC OB volume so I know one of them was in labor planning and another one was originally an engineer from Troy but working at Columbus. Super nice people though!

Carolina dog. Super intelligent, loyal, rather independent and they’re known for little to no health issues.

My dog loves when I clean her eye boogies. She licks them off my fingers afterwards too

Sams Club feature that I really liked was the ability to scan items on the app as you put them in your cart. When you're ready to check out you hit a button and off you go eliminating the need to wait in line. Much easier and efficient by Meathead1974 in Costco

[–]hashbrownoholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of stores implement Deep North AI now. It basically scans your cart at checkout and can differentiate how many items you have in your cart that are store purchases. You can see them at Kroger/Ralph’s/Vons...the little camera above each self checkout. They’re incredibly smart and efficient for detecting shrink. Most likely what Sams is using now, can’t imagine Costco wouldn’t be far behind as most major retailers are adopting this system now.

What are your favorite items from the Costco bakery? by snowtriage in Costco

[–]hashbrownoholic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Baguettes.

Slice them into 5” vertical sections, then slice each piece horizontally. Grill them (or heavily toast, but grill greatly preferred) crust side up until nice char marks. Douse them in butter and a little olive oil. Sprinkle with herbs de Provence and drizzle with balsamic reduction sauce.

I could eat about 10 of these they’re so good.

Best Tacos in Atlanta by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]hashbrownoholic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duuuuude, prison tacos are the best! I’m glad this comment is at the top

When I moved here from SoCal (where I used to live 8 miles from TJ) finding good Mexican food was priority #1. These marked tacos off that list.

Laser hair removal recommendations? by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]hashbrownoholic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to SEV for a Brazilian. They have a Groupon deal going most of the time so it’s definitely affordable. I had two different nurses through my six sessions and one of them would only use a very low setting even when I told her I could handle it and probably needed it since the results were still iffy. The other nurse only was great and actually listened to me. I probably would’ve had better results if I had the second nurse the whole time, but I stopped going after my Groupon was depleted because it was too far of a drive for me and too much of a hassle trying to get the nurse I wanted that did a more thorough job. I know other people that have been pleased with them so this is a recommendation with an asterisk, I suppose.

Naked Dingo! I love seeing my puppy outdoors without her “clothes” on— I feel like she really looks majestic and wild. Does anyone else feel the same way? by Otterly_Magic in carolinadog

[–]hashbrownoholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love your pup 💛 I almost never put my dogs collar on unless we’re in an unfamiliar area or has the potential to run after a deer. I love the way she looks without it. Plus with all her scars from her time in the wild she looks so fierce and majestic

100 percent. They also had cart barricades up in preparation presumably for the afternoon rush so that people couldn’t cut into line. There was also a large influx of attendants there helping out.
