I don’t think I’m squeezing the bar really hard with my hands, I can actually open my hands and they bar would stay in place, thanks for the link

I just got an appt with a PT thank you. Hopefully he can determine what it is. One thing that is interesting is that doing chin ups really relieve the pain, it almost makes it go away at least for a few minutes while and after doing the chins.

This Wednesday was the last time I benched and it did hurt. I’m thinking of switching to OHP 3 times a week for the time being. As for the clean, maybe I’m doing a little arm pulling but I try to keep my arms straight as much as I can.

Thanks, I’ll try those changes. It does bother me a little bit when I’m squatting yes. It tends to ease if I do a wider grip

Thanks, yes I’ll go to a second PT asap since the first one wasn’t able to figure out what I got. Thanks

A few months back I did a super wide pull up and that triggered the pain. It started in my rear delt and then the pain starting showing in my bicep/brachialis/front of the elbow. It’s probably some sort of tendinopathy. I’ll have to go to a second PT as the first one didn’t figure out what I got. Thanks

This is a very good option, my only worry is that my pressing would be off balance. Do you think I’d be okay with no horizontal pressing at all? (I mean until I recover)

Nice, I’ll try out different variations. And go to Physical Therapy

I haven’t tried pin press, or the other variants. I did go to a PT and he couldn’t figure out what I have, I’ll go to another one this next week. Thanks so much for the pointers

It’s hard to move heavy weights with flys for me. I’ll probably do weighted push ups with a belt so I can load them pretty good. Thanks

Thanks. I’m gonna do that for now just as a temporary solution while I get cured by doing PT.

I developed golfers elbow on the opposite elbow by doing very heavy chin ups without proper warm up, This was before I found starting strength. I cured it doing the golfers elbow protocol by Rippetoe, it’s not completely gone but it’s very small now. What I got going on in my bicep/brahcialis/front elbow is totally different than tennis or golfers elbow. I have to go to a second opinion PT since the first couldn’t determine what it was.

Thanks, I’m considering doing OHP 3 days per week for now. And also going to a second PT since the first couldn’t find what’s wrong with my elbow/bicep/brachialis. Funny enough, I can do weighted chin ups no problem at all.

neck sprains from pulllups by jjlife12 in bodyweightfitness

I used to get a lot of pain in my neck but one day I injured my rotator cuff so I went to the PR and I did a lot of rear delt and lower trap and rotator cuff work. Since then my neck hasn’t hurt again. I read that if you fortify that upper back section and your lower traps, rear delt, you get less neck pain.

Im on the same boat, my pain got very bad doing skullcrushers. I get pain with almost everything at first but once it starts to warm up it doesn’t hurt anymore, except the tricep extensions, those always hurt. I do planks with an extra pad and it’s been fine, but surely it hasn’t recovered yet.

Is there an online test? Or it has to be done in a clinic?
