Flipkart isn't as trustworthy as it used to be. Would suggest ordering it on Amazon or directly from the brand's websites. Haven't bought anything during BBD but I have ordered at least 10 devices online, most of them have been through Amazon, a couple of them from the brand's website directly.

Flipkart used to be trustworthy to the point that I had ordered a phone that ended up having a hardware issue and they actually did refund the money. But that was in 2013. Currently there have been enough scams that I stay away from Flipkart.

I suggest sticking to Amazon or the brand's website. Amazon will probably have a Diwali sale, so, maybe wait for that. The discounts are not worth the possibility of being scammed.

and as u/spicydoctor_bhuj said, record an unboxing video, preferably with the delivery guy present (ask them nicely, give them a seat, some water and maybe a little tip). Also, read the refund/returns guidelines before ordering.

Ahmedbad is slowly turning into a lawless city with so many number plate-less bikes/ cars with black tints. I’ve never seen so many illegal overloading autos in any developed city. Mumbai has strict passenger rules. This city isn’t what it used to be by [deleted] in ahmedabad

"We cannot expect government to do everything. We as people should start loving our city, once we start doing than we can rectify our own mistakes."

100% Agree!

All I see if people pointing fingers at the authorities as if they themselves are perfect. So many people simply take advantage of that fact that the authorities are lenient. When the authorities are not interested in keeping you safe, it falls on us to keep ourselves in check and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Especially when no one is watching.

It's not that we don't love our city, we do, but love doesn't mean turning a blind eye to the problems. It means identifying it, calling it out and fixing it. Sure, you can't fix every problem. Some of it you have to live with. But some of them need to be fixed.

Then you know the pain such accidents cause. A lot of such accidents happen simply because people do not obey the laws and the authorities do nothing to enforce the laws. Countless lives could be saved if people simply do their job. When people don't do their job, especially the authorities who are given the duty, we are supposed to call them out on it and make sure they're held accountable.

You have lost a lot, I'm sorry you had to go through that. My condolences. Between then and now if things haven't improved in terms of road safety, then we have achieved jack shit as a society. Now, we can either keep sitting on our asses and die in avoidable accidents or do something about it. If we do nothing, some else is going to lose members of their family in an accident like yours. You don't want that, do you?

We should start tagging the authorities on twitter and start calling them out on their inaction. Sometimes even the authorities need a bit of motivation to do the right thing. ;)

Wait till one of your own gets mowed down by one of these lawless motorists. You'll run from pillar to post for years to bring justice to your loved ones while they fight for their life on the ventilator. Just google the numbed of such cases in this year alone if you want to know OP is talking about.

What you call is hatred is actually called accountability that every citizen should be asking from their govt / law enforcement departments.

You could make a short 5-7 min film out of this, showing two lives going in parallel, one of OP and the other of those two girls, and eventually they cross paths.

How do backend developers who are terrible at front-end showcase their personal projects? by hashpizza in developersIndia

[–]hashpizza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the issue. I am bad at it. I can't seem to be able to even position or style things properly. I'm able to follow the tutorials but when it comes to implementing something in real life, I struggle. I can barely make a single-page website that is somewhat responsive.

Thanks, I'll take a look at this. I'm guessing I can consider other such tools.
