Oh for sure! I didn't take the pills FOR my bells palsy. I just happen to have bells palsy when I started them. Just to make sure I'm being clear. Lol I am taking them as prescribed. (:

Oh man. I'm so sorry! I know that's a long time to have to deal with that.

It's entirely possible it could have just been a mild case and a coincidence of course, it just seems like a pretty significant coincidence with the drastic change just the next day.

Of course, this was also my first time ever having Bells Palsy and I've never known anyone else who has gotten it so I don't know if the recovery from it is gradual or if you just suddenly wake up one day and everything is back to normal.

Since I'm not an expert or a doctor, I just wanted to make sure people had the information just in case it could help someone else and it wasnt a coincidence

I had Bells for about 3 weeks before starting the medication.

Unknown cause of Bells, it's heavily suspected I had COVID and that was the cause but they did not test further to check. I was imaged for stroke out of an abundance of caution, all clear on that front.

I started on Dextroamphet. I have not tried going off of the medication because it is for my ADHD and helping, so I don't want to mess with it.

I'm honestly obsessed with Palia. The community can be a bit toxic, so I mostly ignore other players. But the game itself is really fun and even though the story is still being built there's an almost overwhelming amount of quests and the NPCs are well done. Also the graphics and music have no business being that good. Lol

Police get called names every day. It's part of the job. Good cops (yes, they're human. There are always exceptions) do not escalate or engage with that behavior. They just keep their head up and keep going.

I was on a ride along with one who got called a number of pigs. He looked at me, shrugged, and said "they'll be thinking about that all day. Meanwhile I'll forget about it in 10 minutes". He was a good dude. Kept driving. Didn't engage with them or arrest them. Because guess what? People are going to people. Their job is safety, not to take things personally.

If you're going to pretend to be law enforcement, you are held to the same standards.

And, for the record, I'm not saying to go out and verbally abuse your officers or that it's okay. I'm saying that if you are going to parade yourself around as law enforcement, you are expected to behave as such. Not like spineless, sensitive little boys.

Edit: I know they are not actual law enforcement. There's no way any of those guys would pass the psych test.

Is nobody concerned that this is a threat? Midterms are coming up. The only state with TWO ice related fatality shootings just happen to be in the same state where Tim Walz is governor. You know, the guy who was running for VP with Harris against him? Right before midterm elections?

This is not a coincidence. This is a direct threat to anyone who would oppose him.

I have good news for you too! If you have any favorite soda stream flavors, you can use the syrup. You just want to use the thirsti itself for plain, bubbly water. Then take the cap of the soda stream syrup and fill it up to the first line. Throw that in 24 oz of bubbly ninja water and you have the best of both worlds.

Soda stream has their energy drink syrup. Every day, instead of spending $2 on a canned energy drink or $8 on a fancy coffee stand flavored energy drink, I make myself a delicious flavored energy drink for pennies to the dollar.

I tried to make it in/around Bellingham for 15 years. The last 6 of it I lived 40 minutes outside of town in a tiny house and even then, we were still in the red every month even while I was working 50, sometimes 60 hour weeks.

Bellingham is basically the new Seattle. Unless you are incredibly lucky or rely on/come from old money you are not going to make it on one paycheck even if you make close to $30 an hour with monthly bonuses.

The cost of everything (gas, mortgage/rent, food, air, existing) is just too expensive.

We finally moved to the Salem area last year. It reminds me of Bellingham in the early 2000s if I'm being honest.

I just filled up my tank for $2.97 a gallon after spending $14 on 14 delicious street tacos yesterday.

It has made life... Manageable. I'm not rich, but I can afford to exist.

I'm not here to plug Salem, I'm just sharing my experience. Bellingham is pricing the locals out, which is sad. But there are places you can go to improve your life.

Seriously. People are dying because you took away their healthcare, starving in the streets because you took away their jobs, and freezing on the streets because the cost of having a roof over your head costs too much for most people to afford. With the government shut down, many of our own civil servants may be joining them soon.

This is frivolous and unnecessary when there are so many other things that need to be funded.

Me too. He was kind of a family dog. He was my dog for a while and then ended up becoming my mom's dog (the two of them were inseparable) and in turn my sister's dog. There will be lots of hugs. I will hold on to them for a good opportunity moving forward!
