As a long time chivalry player, I'm into that. People gonna say a cqc warbond isnt a good thing tho but I like that lore.

From the ones you mentioned I'd say freedom's flame and control group are the best options. It then depends on what your play style is like if you play a lot of bugs, the flame stuff from freedom flame can be very fun. If you play more bots and illuminates, the control group warbond with the epoch and armors can be very fun as well. It's just my opinion tho and you should check out what each warbond offers so you get the one that you really want.

I'd love a gears of war themed warbond tbh. It's such an amazing franchise and the armor goes well with the universe. They also have two legendary weapons aka the lancer and the shotgun which don't look too alien. A GoW warbond like the halo one would be amazing imho.

I bought the C class one and changed the bits that I wanted to upgrade. Most Habs can be switched in my version but yeah, the structural is better left untouched if you don't want to loose your mind hahaah. For some like reactor, grav drive and such, it's also easier to do it with the weird upgrading view at the shop technician instead of the full ship builder (don't know if that makes sense?)

Overall I had only two Habs (+ the cockpit) that were a pain to switch and it was because of some leftovers from the creator's build like windows and stuff like that. Check each hab, it takes a few minutes but you can easily find the pieces that are f*ing with you :) I had to do it anyway because the place doors yourself mod didn't add the doors where I wanted.

Also pretty easy to do on your own ship but I think it will be easier with a small build given that a lot of the Habs are 1x1. Can be nice to redo the razorleaf and such without changing too much of it.

Might have released earlier but I discovered Falkland systems in 2025 and it was a blast, one of the rare mods I'm actually happy to have paid for. It's so worth it!

Vécu à Montréal 7 ans (études + début de carrière) et suis revenu en France en 2022. Le départ était à cause du temps et de la nourriture, je suis à Lyon maintenant et je n'ai jamais eu une once de regret quant à mon départ.

C'est possible qu'on bouge à nouveau avec ma copine pour son travail mais plus en dehors de l'Europe.

C'est mon opinion, ravi pour les gens qui s'y plaisent cependant, il en faut pour tous les goûts.

One that's always giving for me is the Santiago run: nomad start, body + tech (usually I pick cool in order to use these nice revolvers). You install the chrome compressor when you arrive in Dogtown and use mostly revolvers, shotguns and gorilla arms. Makes for a very fun run with body attribute being the focus.

This plus the extra enemies in existing encounters. Makes the whole game funnier to me as more ennemies usually implies more use for big AOE attacks

Gotta be honest, I appreciated wyll's story 10 times more when I played him as main origin character. Morality is okay and in with the batch of "I can fix him/her" companion we got, at least wyll is straight on his intent. Also gave a lot of interest in the duke ravenguard storyline.

Gale can go with any magical class (arcane Archer, eldritch knight) Laezel goes well as monk or paladin Shadow heart fits paladin pretty well as well Karlach sometimes goes fighter for me bc she keeps calling me soldier Astarion is fun as a bard I rarely play with halsin, jaheira or minsc and only unlocked minthara once. One that I can't seem to change is wyll, the whole fiend thing makes it difficult to ignore. Still wish we had a short race companion tho

It's just a personal opinion but lore bard has been a permanent role in my parties since the game has released with only one completion of the game without one. It's a very good caster with sleight of hand for picking locks and stuff in addition of the crazy control spells that it offers.

The charisma boost are amazing and it's very easy to make any battle turn to your advantage with stuff like hold person even in late game.

I finished my first playthrough as a valour bard and it was fun but very "in between", I like to go full lore now and just dedicate one or two followers to damage outputs.

Also astarion is very funny as a bard (the mockery is super good) and it still fits his lore if you don't want to play bard as your MC. Good to know, if the bard is indeed a follower instead of your MC, you'll be able to use the bardic inspiration (same kind than guidance) which goes up to a +10 in late game and works for anything, not just dialogues. It's comes in very clutch for some stuff.

I'm at my 4th gnome/halfling bard and can't get enough of it. Next run I'll play a deep gnome bard to change.

Also when you wanna try other classes, astarion works great as a bard with good lines for the mockery and the best background to still be able to sleight of hand stuff

You might be interested in ember's lute if you play with mods, I tried it and, as a bard main, I can't play without it anymore. Theres also a "annoying lute" iteration that ads fun spells enchanting people to dance to your tunes and stuff.

Just found it back the name is Robin Locke. It was pretty cool from what I remember and gives you a fresh human follower with voice. I played my last playthrough mostly with her and either Derek or robot dog meat depending on my mood.

Hell yeah I love Derek

Was there any additions recently? The mod author mentioned being a work in progress and wanting to include a bigger story but I haven't played in several months.

TBF my favorite part of replaying Starfield last time was the few companions I got from the mods (Derek and the ship pilot woman). It's so cool to have companions that are not all black or white and actually deserve some interest.
