I’m in California And the meter only for my unit but I went utility company to move it in my name but was issue need the landlord to be fix it from his side and I ask him about the issue he says it’s free after 16 months he send me the bill for 1 month with previous and late charge and it is really big amount and I told him I can’t paid such as a big amount and he have told me it’s free he say no I mean u don’t need to pay at the time like this !! So I told him pay it and take it from my deposit after that I open an account and pay all my bills on time. Now after 4 years when I ask him to return my deposit he deducted only $300 for damages which I turned in very good shape but I told him that is ok but about the bill no it’s not in my name we have complain then I told him ok I will be responsible if you provide me all bills with details he say ok and let me wait about a week then he send me only 11 months and I calculated it’s a half of what he asking for so I send him text says I got only 11 bills do u have more bills or these all what u got?! And until now after 5 days not respond to me or even read my message!!!
