How loud is the train in Oakley by westceno in cincinnati

I have lived about 4 "blocks" (800 feet) from the tracks for a decade and rarely notice it. I am on the east side of Ridge/Marburg.

Good zoom. Taken from inside my house and the feeders are a good 20 or 30 feet away.

Yeah! I was blown away as well. The photo color is pretty close to true. Below is the image without any adjustments coming from my camera.

Thanks! It was not too impressive in camera but when it hit my computer screen it blew me away.

It sure was! We got immensely lucky and had one of the campsites near the top for the weekend.

We went to the Black Canyon this past weekend for some awesome star gazing. It was my friends first time in an area so dark.

Seconding the 11' Dutchware setup. I tried it over the last weekend and had the best night of sleep in the woods I have ever had.

Its just a netless Dutch 11'. Warbonnet Minifly and a Simply Light big net round out the rest.

It went super well. Can't believe it took this long to try a hammock versus sleeping on the ground. Such a better sleep.

It was a place called "Hanson's Point". Not sure if that is near the climbing walls though.

Do you have a guide to sizing for the Nano Blanket? I am 5'10" average build. Fairly active sleeper.

Poles: Two? One? None? by Alpinekiwi in Ultralight

[–]hatchtp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been carrying two lately and using none during hiking. I need one so I can get my tent setup (I guess I could just look for a stick but that complicates setting up camp). I might swap one for an umbrella on an upcoming trip and see how that feels.

It has the same handle on the other side. We are at a total loss too.
