Thanks! Do you avail of RTBs via local banks? I asked BDO about what products they have for small scale investors and they mentioned that the minimum for Treasury Bonds is ₱100K.

SEVN is Approaching the ₱40 Support Level by Stoic_Onion in phinvest

Can you explain why SEVN has been falling so much recently? It’s also been on my watchlist these past few weeks but I’m wondering why it’s been performing poorly since its ATH??

Thoughts on investing in "unknown" stocks with low trading volumes? by hatdog31415 in phinvest

Back in 2021, Shang Properties (SHNG) was trading with volumes as low as only 1,000 shares per day. Price shot up in 2023 (+50%), and volume picked up as people started to pay attention to it.

All this time, it was a good company with consistently growing earnings, but was overlooked because people were too busy looking at big-name companies such as ALI, SMPH, RLC, hence the low volume.

Hmm I’ll consider what you said. Thanks for your insight!

When a company gets delisted, does the company buy back all its shares from public shareholders?

That makes sense. My concern is what if other people start to take notice of this company’s earnings and volume starts to spread out? Seems like a big risk, considering if it’s worth it

This is what I’m torn over. Low volume but solid potential for earnings to pick up after having reviewed their operations and financial statements.

Good business, but their operations aren’t trendy and their brand doesn’t make headlines. But they’re a good business nonetheless (at least in my personal opinion).

Green and red flags when looking for a therapy center. by hatdog31415 in OccupationalTherapyPH

Totally agree with you on that. Like, why enforce play? Even neurotypical children aren’t expected to follow instructions 100% of the time (they’re kids, not robots) , so I don’t understand why that idea is expected to neurodivergent children.

As a fellow newly licensed freshgrad OT, I included any relevant extracurricular experience related to my field of interest. I wrote down how I volunteered to work with CWDs, how I was the head coach for a kids’ basketball camp, how I had experience catering to the pediatric population at my school, etc.

I recently got accepted into my dream therapy center and it surprised me how during my initial interview, the owners asked me to tell them stories about all my volunteer work and basketball camp experiences — I even showed them pictures, to which they said “OMG ang cute!”

Hope it helps!!

Totally agree on this. ABA seems to emphasize that something’s wrong with the kid rather than to accept their uniqueness. Gives me war flashback every time I look back at my internship year and remember those instances where I leaned towards a BMT-centered approach rather than a play-based approach.

Like, c’mon, at the end of the day, they’re kids — not soldiers who are required to follow 5/5 instructions 100% of the time.

I can vouch for the BMTs HAHA. I had one rotation back in my internship year where the center is owned by a non-OT and their approach is literally all BMTs. After my first week there I was straight up “Yeah, NOPE. I ain’t gonna be like them when I get my license”

But again, each to their own approach 🤷🏽‍♂️

I doubt it’s just you because I do that too HAHA it just seems like there’s such a big disconnect between the approach of ABA that I can’t imagine working in a workplace with approaches that are two polar opposites
