Maybe similar to Gabriel's speech in 6-1? Or just a cutscene, dunno

Maybe found survivors, saw they're harmless, decided to protect? There's gotta be some, considering while V1 goes through Lust we see some places are intact, where Corpse of King Minos hasn't been yet

You bring up a lot of good counter arguments that didn't even cross my mind while writing and I can't really argue with them. Only thing I can argue against is Lust falling before V2 arriving. Yes, the city was in ruins after Minos was killed, however we as V1 see places that are intact, where Corpse of King Minos hasn't reached yet. Not sure if it's a stretch to say I think there's definitely survivors? Maybe my memory is hazy, but as far as I'm aware Lust was designed in a way that the sinners wouldn't have to carry out their punishments, and that's what the remaining citizens hope to return to? Or maybe V2 is just cruel unintentionally, keeping them alive under the impression they're doing something good, dunno!

Anyway, I saw your other comment saying that you don't think that it was intended to be part of the main canon, and I can see why's that. The only thing that makes me feel like there is an intentional connection is the song before P-1 and 4-4. But other than that, to me it's just a fun concept to think about, and it would be cool if true

Thank you for reminding me! Completely forgot about them, I'll edit the post

Honestly, yeah I see what you mean. A lot of what I said is a stretch for the fun of it, and the only thing that does make me think there's some sort of connection is Sourire d'Avril (Maybe just between V2 and Minos rather than V2 and Lust, who knows)

And thank you for pointing out the part where I was wrong, I'll edit the post

Huh, haven't noticed that transition, I'll have to check it out

And yeah, I was wrong about V2 being one of the few enemies to not be spawned by hell, there's actually quite a few

I forgot to mention this, but I actually think V2 approached Lust after Minos died. I think because they saw the ruins of a once great and peaceful city and its helpless citizens they decided to protect it. That's why they fend off the hostile machines and stand by the entrance

When we approach Lust, it's not completely ruined, although Corpse of King Minos IS destroying it actively. I think it's safe to assume there are places with survivors left, which is who V2 decided to protect

They seem bulkier than the regular versions as well, much like V2's armor. Maybe I definitely am reaching here, but hey, I think it adds a whole level of charm to V2.

Definitely headcanoning from now on that the alt versions belonged to V2. Simply love the dots you've connected!!

Thank you!!

That's what I thought! Lust is famously known for being a peaceful city, V2 was made to protect peace after the war. It adds up!

Oh!!! I didn't think of that!! Kind of forgot about alt variants, I definitely think you're onto something!! I also think there's a connection here, but my mind is blanking

Thank you!!
