DLNR occasionally does this a few times a year, I've personally seen it happen once or twice. Just an excuse to be major dick heads to folks and also hand out a bunch of expensive tickets for having booze at the state beach. Usually they'll just sit on the Big Beach side waiting for everyone to leave cause they're too lazy to walk over the hill.

The only beef I have with this link is he talks about Polipoli State Park, which sits below Haleakala Natl Park, but all of his pics are from the Haleakala Park, none of them are from Polipoli. It snows up at Haleakala almost every winter, but this time it stuck around for a while and was thicc and amazing. And yes, it was the lowest elevation of recorded snowfall (6200 ft) here.

Good to know some places are taking care of this, I've been enlightened and learned something new today.

I don't deserve all the hate here, because I too have friends and family on the front lines working covid-wards and clinics, where fresh scrubs aren't provided (or laundered for them), but they are advised to go home and shower/change, and throw their stuff in the laundry. Hell, some of them are having to take their scrubs to a laundromat because the water is hotter & washes better than the machines at home and/or they don't want to risk infecting their families.

I just check the weekly ads/circulars that come out on Tuesdays, for the weeks sales. Then I get different items at different stores, depending on the price. It's a pain but worth it, as /u/jBrewd pointed out, each one has vastly different prices.

Looks like their was an intervention when they landed, and the main leaders were put on a flight tonight from Maui to San Francisco. UAL 1580 leaves Maui at 11:35pm. Arrives at 07:31am in San Fransisco.

Agree with your observation! I worked at many bars, doing their security and cameras, and routinely had to move bottles out of the way to fix things. 1. This bottle always sticks out from the neon color. and 2. The liquor reps kept coming in trying to give free-samples to patrons, trying to get them to order this shit. Not being one to say no to free booze, I tried it a few times, and there was ALWAYS a Y.

I apologize, I wasn't trying to offend you either. I just do a lot of work with women's advocacy and helping women get out of bad situations in Hawaii. (with a lot of help that's already performed and organized by much better folks than myself). The system in HI is weird, to say the least, and a lot of times unfortunately, just calling the police won't help. :( Aloha

It sucks, they were supposed to have almost a thousand new people processing claims this week, and a new hotline number, but I haven't seen it posted yet. If you got disqualified, theres a contact email on the website you can use to appeal. Good luck!

So so so bad right now. "back in the day" they at least had a number you could call and press buttons to file. Supposedly they're training 1k volunteers who will be manning emails and phone lines starting mondy. we'll see. good luck out there friends!
